Chapter 2- Introduction

Nick's POV:
"See ya later Carrots!" I yelled back saluting her. I finally finished the night shift and was ready to hang out with Judy for the weekend tomorrow. It was always fun with Judy...

I head out through the ZPD doors and continued on the path home, scrolling through my phone for something interesting. I was about to pass the usual dark alley way until my ears perked up to the sound of whimpering and...singing

'Its coming from the alley way' I thought. I used my phone as a flashlight and saw an anim- Wait thats not an animal. She was crying into her legs and singing softly. Is she okay? I went over to approach her.

Alice's POV:
Urghhh anxiety!!! I can't talk to them! Their animals and I'm a human. What do I do? I felt myself tearing up again and thinking I was a complete wimp but before I could react, I slid down the brick wall and cried into my legs. I guess singing is all I could do now. It does cheer me up.

'At nighttime'

I didn't even realise I was still singing until I felt a paw on my paw and stood up panicking. It was a Fox.

Nick's POV:
This girl looks so scared. "Don't worry, I'm not going to hurt you" I said reassuringly. She seemed as she calmed down a bit but she looked tense. "What are you?" I couldn't help but ask curiously. "I-I'm a h-human" She said stuttering. "A hu-man?" She nodded slightly then she looked down to the floor. What's a human? I decide to ignore that for now and ask what she is doing here.

"I'm Nick Wilde, who are you?" She looked shocked at first but then shook my paw. Her paws felt weird. "I'm Alice" She said with a smile. I couldn't help but smile back. "So how did you get here? I have never seen your kind before." She looked through her pockets and pulled out... Judy's pen! I quickly took it out of her hands.

"Where did you get this?" I said panicking. "I was walking home from school and I found it near the road" I was still in shock. "I think you and me need to talk if you don't mind, it's starting to get cold anyway." She nodded slightly then followed after me. "...You have a nice voice by the way" she looked at me and smiled. I smirked back.

Alice's POV:
We arrived at his apartment and I could already tell the film was right. Predators had it hard and I still couldn't believe I'm talking to the one and only Nick Wilde.

We both sat down on his sofa and he pulled out a notepad and pen. I felt so interrogated right now. "Now I hope you don't mind me asking a few questions if that's okay, I'm just really intrigued into what you are." I nodded and that's when the conversation began.

Nick's POV (two hours later):
So Alice is from a planet called Earth, she loves to sing and she is 16. She sounds like a regular girl except for no paws or fur.

Before I knew it, we began to talk about our hobbies, likes and dislikes. She is not a bad of a 'human.' She is really funny. "Hey Alice?" I asked. "Yeah Nick?" She replied back. "I was wondering if you wanted to hang out with me and a friend tomorrow, figuring out how you got here?" She thought for a minute. "Will she understand" I smirked back. "I will let her know don't worry" she smiled back and yawned and she fell asleep on the sofa

I moved her down to the sofa more and in her sleep, she grabbed her side and moaned. I gently removed her hand to see a huge bruise on her waist. 'What happened to her?' I thought. I put a blanket over her and went to sleep on my bed. Maybe that's a question to ask for later...
