"Thank you." Wavepelt shakily rose to her paws. 'Will you be okay?"

"A dog once attacked me." Trinity winced as she sat down. "My housefolk quickly treated me, though. I'll be fine, and Sunbeam will too." She ran and nuzzled her daughter. "I thought I would never find you!" She started licking Sunbeam's injuries. "I was so worried! What happened?"

"Well..." Sunbeam looked around as if she expected Frostclaw to pop out at any moment. "I woke up and decided to go onto the fence to look at the moon. It wasn't the first time I'd done that." Her gaze became distant as if she was in that moment again. "But then... Frostclaw appeared. She jumped onto the fence and... started attacking me. I didn't know what to do... I fell off the fence. It hurt, and I think I blacked out. When I woke up, I was here."

"At least we found you." Trinity raised her head. "Who knows what Frostclaw could have done to you."

"Yeah..." Sunbeam shuddered, and let out a huge yawn.

"You're tired," Trinity told her. "Come on, we'll go back home." She nudged the other she-cat. "I know the way."

"...Okay." Sunbeam stood up. "Bye, Wavepelt." Then she followed her mother and disappeared.

Wavepelt took a step forward and stumbled, just realizing how tired she was. She yawned, and, eyelids heavy, trudged slowly back to camp.

What a walk, she thought. I can't have a normal walk for once, can I? But she was glad to be able to have helped Trinity.

When she saw Ashheart, still guarding, her old apprentice grinned.

"How was your walk?" she asked.

"Oh..." Wavepelt thought about the wild adventure she had just experienced. "It was fine."

Wavepelt had a good sleep through the rest of the night. She woke up the next morning and stretched luxuriously. I can't stop thinking about last night. Frostclaw had just added her to her 'enemies' list. And she had Wavepelt's worst enemy as her mate.

But there's nothing to worry about right now. She walked out of the warriors den. Flamefur was at the fresh-kill pile, his face lit up. He was staring at the medicine den.

"What's happening?" Wavepelt padded over to her friend.

"It's Reedstar." Flamefur pointed with his tail at a figure who was at the entrance to the medicine den. Wavepelt now saw that it was Reedstar. The ThunderClan leader's face was confident as he strode to the fresh-kill pile, hardly flinching.

"Reedstar!" Flamefur greeted his leader warmly. "How are you doing?"

"I'm doing well, thank you Flamefur," Reedstar replied, back to his joyous self. "Have any patrols gone out yet?"

"I sent Treetail, Featherdapple, Greeneyes, and Wheatwing to the ShadowClan border," Flamefur told him. "I also sent Bushtail, Tussledstorm, Barkstripe, Silverfang, and Whiteclaw to the RiverClan border. Since they took Sunningrocks back, we need to be ready. I haven't sent out any hunting patrols yet."

"Then do that," Reedstar mused. "How old are Curlyfur's kits?" he asked.

"About six moons," Wavepelt put in.

"Then it's time they become apprentices." Reedstar ran over and climbed up Highrock, calling a meeting.

Elmkit, Patchkit, Raykit, and Goldenkit scampered out of the nursery, followed by Curlyfur, and, to Wavepelt's surprise, Speckledfur was with her. She's expecting kits? Wavepelt had never noticed that.
