This one is pretty short, but it's written purely from my heart and I really like the way that it turned out. Also, I wrote it in like 5 minutes so it's kinda spontaneous. But either way, I hope you enjoy it and find it (somewhat) relatable.

Please pay attention,
It hurts when you don't.
You tend to look the other way,
When I call your name, thinking you won't.
You just keep on pretending,
Going around handing out,
All those words you're bending.
And I'll try to stop myself from freeing that shout.
I catch your gaze in the hallways.
Where we'll always meet,
Forever, and always.
But when we are together in that space, we never seem to greet.
I look down,
You look at her.
I extend my frown,
You seem to disappear.
It's always been the same,
No, this will never change.
But I've started liking this little game,
Which my mind likes to calculate and rearrange.
This game may only have two players,
But we're both equally skilled.
My fingers are crossed as I say my prayers,
For god only knows in this sport, who'll survive and who'll get killed.
