Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her! (Lu. 1:45).

***

I wake up to my phone ringing loudly. I look at the clock; 8:12 AM.

I look at the caller ID; Jaannn

I answer the phone, "Hello." I answer tiredly.

"NOVIAAAAA!" Janice yells into the phone.

I quickly pull the phone away from my ear, cringing at the loud noise so early in the morning. I pull the phone back to my ear as she finishes yelling. "Yes, Janice?" I ask sitting up, rubbing my eyes.

"I'm on my way right now to pick you up." She tells me.

"For what?" I ask with a yawn. I get out of my bed and walk to my closet.

"We're going shopping!" She says excitedly.

My face lights up, "Yay!" I say with excitement.

"I'll be there in 30 minutes. Bye." She tries to hang up quickly.

"Uh uhn. Why weren't you at church yesterday?" I ask scolding her through the phone as I look through my closet for something to wear.

"Noviaaa." She whines.

"Don't 'Noviaaa' me. You know you need to be at church, with your unholy behind." I say.

"Okay. I'm sorry, I'll be there next Sunday. I promise." She says sighing.

"You better," I say.

"See you soon babe. Love you." She kisses through the phone.

"Love you too." I kiss back.

I lay my outfit on my bed as I go to the bathroom to get washed up.

Once I'm done I put my outfit on.
A simple red shirt and some black leggings.

I wear the same hairstyle as yesterday, except for the flowers

I wear the same hairstyle as yesterday, except for the flowers.

I decide to read the Bible until Janice arrives.

***

I hear a knock at my door.

I open it to see Janice.

"Noviaki!" Janice runs and hugs me tightly.

I hug her back and smile at the nickname she gave me when she first met me. A combination of my first and last name; Zinovia Akili.

"Hey, hun. Ready to go?" I ask her.

"Yes. Let's go." She answers.

We walk out to her car ready to start our day.

"What about this one? It fits your body perfectly." Janice holds it up to my body.

"No! it's too provocative." I tell her and move the dress away from my body.
