Zen and I were sitting on his couch rehearsing lines together.

Then I shall travel across the seas Nothing will ever come in between our love. You are my everything, and I could never abandon you. Please, my love, tell me you feel the same.

I looked into Zens eyes and saw so much emotion in them as if he truly meant what he was saying: which he probably did.

I read Patties following line. Adam...I

Do you not feel the same for me?

Zen started to tear up as if he really thought I didnt feel that way.

Zen? I put my hand on his knee. Are you okay? I asked.

Keep going while Im fully in touch with the characters emotions.

So I went on.

I dont know

How can you not be sure? I knew the moment I laid eyes on you that what I felt for you would be everlasting...and I knew I was in love...and I was sure that you felt the same.

A tear rolled down Zens cheek. I wanted to wipe it away, but I remembered that he was just acting and that not doing anything would actually be better for him so he could continue practicing with the exact emotions Adam felt. So I went on.

Adam...Im sorry our love didnt go the way you desired...but I cant help it...if I have feelings for another man

Zen quoted Adams following line exactly as it was written, as he had been doing with all of his previous lines. Pattie, he sobbed -as was written. What about us? You were the light to my pitch black world. What am I to do now in a world of darkness? Zen started to break down and cry. I cant live without you in my life I need you beside me Without you...I am nothing

I couldnt watch this anymore, so I leaned in and kissed Zen on the lips.

This isnt in the script, he whispered.

I cant watch you in pain

Zen smiled, swung his arm over my shoulders, and pulled me close. I looked up at him and wiped his tears away.

Do you wanna help me practice my duet? Zen asked.

Me? Sing?

Why not? I would never make fun of you, Zen promised.

II dont know I cant really sing on the spot.

I would love to hear your voice!

Maybe another time, but as of right now, I actually have to go so I can meet up with someone at a coffee shop about the next party well be having.

Zen frowned.

I stood up and kissed him on the cheek.

Is it a guy? Zen asked.

It doesnt matter, Zen. Its not like Im gonna fall for him. Im in love with you and you only. I let you work with other women.

Zen stood up and wrapped his arms around me.

I guess that is true, he said. BesidesI trust you.

Thank you.

I kissed Zen on the cheek and left.
