"Do you really have to go?"mom asked as I put our last bag in the truck.

"Yes, mom I do. I have a really good job lined up and I'm going to do better for my kids than I have been."

"I know honey, it's just that I'm going to miss you and them babies." Mom said. Dad was still standing to the side listening to us.

"Sydney, Hunter tell your grandparents bye."

"But I don't wanna leave, mommy." Sydney said .

"It's okay baby girl, papaw and I will see you on your birthday." Mom said picking her up.

"Okay, love ya Granny." Sydney said hugging her.

"I love you baby girl." Mom put her down and picked Hunter up giving him a hug.

"Bye Papaw!" Sydney said giving dad a hug and kiss.

"Goodbye, my angel. Remember that I will always love you." Dad put Sydney down and picked Hunter up.

"I'm going to miss you little guy, Papaw loves you so much." Mom helped me put the kids in their car seats. I went to give mom a hug.

"Remember to call me every night and please be safe. Always remember that you can  come home whenever. I love you baby."

"I love you too, mom." I said giving her one last hug.

"You know I will support you no matter what you do, this is your life. Take good care of my grand babies. Just remember that you will always be my baby girl, and no matter what happens or what you have done, you can always come home. I love you, princess."

"I love you too, daddy." I said hugging him tight and letting a small tear fall from my eye. I have always been such a daddy's girl.

I got in my truck and waved goodbye to my parents and my old life as I drove down the driveway. This is going to be one long trip with two kids.

We were almost to Nashville, Tennessee and both kids were asleep. The only noise was coming from the radio, I was thinking about how I'm going to miss Oklahoma and my parents. I kept telling myself it's for the best. I turned up the radio hearing my favorite country singer of all time, Luke Bryan singing 'Dirt Road Diary. This song describes me perfectly. I can't wait to start work in two days. I got a job at Capitol Nashville Record Company. So many singers are signed there including Luke Bryan.

I finally saw a sign that said 'Welcome to Nashville, Home of country music!' I couldn't believe that we are finally here.

We live in apartments that are three bedrooms, nothing too fancy, just a roof over our heads. I got the kids out and grabbed our bags while Sydney held onto a bag I was carrying.

All of our stuff got here yesterday and set up how I told them to. I got the kids ready for bed and I got myself ready too. It was a long drive from Oklahoma to Nashville and I'm going to bed early tonight. I got into my big, lonely bed and waited fir sleep to take over.
