Meeting Mom And Dad

 Luke and I have been dating for a month now. The kids love seeing each other everyday. Luke drives the kids to daycare and taking me to work. He said that there is no reason taking two vehicles when we are going to the same place. Everyday after work we still take the kids to the playground to play while it's still summer.

   Sydney's birthday is Friday and my parents will be here this afternoon. I have told mom about Luke and how we haven't had a date yet so mom said that her and dad will be watching all four kids over night while Luke and I spent all the alone time we want. My mother is a big Luke Bryan fan and just let me tell you that there has been a few times where she said that 'if Luke Bryan came up and asked her to marry him, she said that she would leave daddy in a heart beat.' I always laughed at that cause she has said that about so many singers.

   "What time do you have to go get your parents from the airport?" Luke said walking into my bedroom.

    "I should leave her in a few minutes. What are you going to be doing while I'm gone?"

   "For one I'm going to be missing those beautiful red lips of yours." Luke said giving me a long kiss.

   "I wont be gone long and we have a free night to ourselves without any kids. You can kiss my lips all night."

   "Oh believe me baby, we will be doing more than just kissing." He said smacking my butt as we walked out of my room.

   "Really, Luke?"
 
   "Yep. Be careful on your drive and get back soon. I'm going to make everyone dinner so it will be done by the time you get back." He said kissing my lips.

   "If it's done before we get back, you better feed my babies!" I told him.

   "Just Sydney and Hunter? What about Bo and Tate?" Luke said with a confused look.
 
   "Luke, Bo and Tate are my babies too. I hope you see my two like that." I said being honest with him.

   "I see them as mine too and I'm so glad that I found the perfect woman and mom for my boys." Luke said looking into my eyes.

   "I'm glad that we kept running into each other." I said kissing his lips. "I have to go now or I will be late picking them up."

   "Okay, bye baby." He said giving my lips one last kiss.

   "It's about time." Mom said as I got out of my car to help dad put his and moms bag in the back.

   "Sorry." I said when I got back in my seat.

   "Where are my babies?" Mom asked

   "They are at home with Luke."

   "Are you living together?" Dad asked

   "No, Luke lives two floor above my apartment." I told them

   "How long have you been dating?" Dad asked

   "A month dad."

   "Quit asking her so many questions when I have already told you all of this." Mom said. The rest of the drive back to my apartment was silent. Mom was looking at everything that we drove by and dad was sitting in the back quite. I know he doesn't want what happened before to happen to me again but Luke is different in so many ways. He loves my kids like they are his own and he takes really good care of me. He's a better dad and boyfriend then Steve ever was.

    "Where are my grand babies?" Mom yelled as I opened the door.

    "They should be here somewhere." I said walking into the kitchen to see if Luke was in there. He wasn't in sight but all the food was done and it smelled really good. I walked out of the kitchen and down the hall to Sydney's room, with mom and dad following me. When I opened the door I could not believe my eyes, Luke was with Sydney playing with her baby dolls. Bo, Tate, and Hunter were on the other side of the room playing cars. I got my phone out taking a picture of Luke and Sydney.

   "There's my grand babies." Mom said after I took the picture.

   "Mom, do you want to take the kids and wash their hands while I set the table?" I asked her, as Luke got up and walked over to me.

     We were sitting down at the table, mom, dad, Luke and I at the big table and all four kids at the Mickey table.

   "So Luke, What do you do for a living?" Dad asked, like he has no idea who he is.

   "I'm a country singer and song writer." He answered looking at my dad.
 
   "Are you going to be able to take care of my daughter and grand kids?" Dad asked

   "Steve! He has way more money then we do. He is a well known singer and sells million of cds. He is more than capable of taking care of our little girl." Mom told him.

   "Oh." Is all dad said, looking down at his plate. Mom and Luke talked some while we all eat.

   "Y'all better go so you can have all the alone time you want." Mom said looking at Luke.

   "Martha! Don't give them any ideas!" Dad said.

   "Steve, they both have kids and I'm pretty sure that they are old enough to make up their own minds. Go have fun you two, I will take care of the babies." Mom said rushing us out the door.
