New Begins

Surprises?

It's been a month since Luke's and Sydney's birthday and Luke has been up to something. He has been gone after work just hanging around long enough to drop us off at home. I don't think he's cheating on me, but he is defiantly hiding something from me. Every time I bring it up, he tells me it's nothing and not to worry about it, and of course that only makes me worry more! The kids have been doing so well in daycare and Bo and Sydney will be starting kindergarten in two weeks! They are growing up so fast!
  
   Right now I'm starting on dinner while the kids are in Sydney's room playing. Bo and Tate has moved most of their toys and clothes over here. I have been feeling kind of stressed lately, Luke helps get the kids ready in the morning and we still go the same diner everyday at lunch. We get off at the same time and get the kids and Luke drops us off and goes. I have been fighting with the kids every afternoon, getting them to share or Hunter is getting into something and trying to get dinner done before Luke gets home is starting to get to me.
 
   The front door opening break me out of my thoughts. I knew it was Luke, but I kept my back to him. Working on dinner. I know the kids are hungry, I have told me more than once tonight.
 
   "It smells really good in here." Luke said wrapping his arms around my waist and kissed me on the cheek.

   "It will be done soon." I said walking over to start making the kids plates.

   "Do you need help?"

   "Can you get the kids washed and seated?" I asked

   "Yeah." He said walking out of the kitchen. I get all four plates made with small amounts and set them down on the table. I went and made mine and Luke's and sat them down. I was filling everyone's cups when they came running in. We sat down to have dinner.

   "How was your afternoon?" I asked Luke.

   "Good, I actually have somewhere to take you and the kids after we eat dinner."

   "And where would that be?" I asked
 
   "It's a surprise."
 
   "A good or bad surprise?"

  "A really good surprise, you will love it."

  "Is it the thing that you have been working on all month?" I asked

  "Yes, so you don't have to worry or stress out anymore." He said taking my hand in his.

  After we ate dinner and cleaned up, we all piled into Luke's truck. I have no idea where he is taking me or what he has been working on. We have been driving for about fifteen minutes now and we are out in the country. We pulled up to this really pretty two story farm house. I fell in love with just the outside of it.
 
   "What are we doing here?" I asked

   "Welcome to our new home." Luke said shutting the truck off.

   "You're joking?" I asked shocked.

   "No baby. This is all ours." He said helping me get the kids out of the car. We walked up to the door and he unlocked it. We walked inside and I couldn't believe it. It was perfect and all I saw was the outside and the living room. "Do you kids want to see your new rooms?"

   "Yes!" They all screamed.

   "We will go to Bo and Tate's room first." Luke said leading us upstairs. He opened the door and I couldn't believe my eyes. He went all out painting, picking furniture and everything for their room. They ran inside and started playing. "Now let's show Hunter is room." He opened the door to his new room and I couldn't believe what he did for my baby. The room was done in batman. He even painted it, got furniture and even toys.

   "Luke, you didn't have to do that." I told him.

   "I know I wanted to. Let's show Sydney her new room." Luke opened the door and the five year old girl went nuts. Her room was painted blue, her favorite color. No her room wasn't done in princess' or Disney. It had music notes on the wall and a stage with a dress up closet. there was mics and it looked like a real stage. this was all to much I started crying.
 
  Sydney loves music! She's so young but she always wanted boybands and music. Her favorite singers is Luke Bryan, Jonas Brothers and One Direction. There are even the Barbie dolls on her bed of both bands. (My 3 year old daughter really picks them over anything else lol)

   "Are you okay?" Luke asked rubbing my back.

   "Yeah, it just means a lot to me that you have done all this for my babies." I said letting more tears fall.

   "Those kids mean the world to me too and I will do anything for them. I want them to see what a real daddy is." He said kissing my head. "Let me show you are room." He opened the door to our new bedroom, it was everything I could ask for and more. I have never had a bedroom like this before. There was a king size bed and the colors were red and black. Luke does listen to everything that I tell him.

   "It's beautiful! I can't wait till we move in!"

    "There is more." Luke said taking my hand in his.

    "There's more?" I asked shocked

    "Yes, there is a big walk in closet over there. And through that door is our bath room." He said walking over and opening the door. there is a big shower that sits in the corner and a big garden tub with jets. His and her sinks, this house is amazing and I haven't even seen the kitchen yet. I couldn't help myself any longer, I wrapped my arms around his neck and kissed him hard on his lips. He didn't hesitate to kiss me back. "I take it that you love it?"

   "Yes, I love it! When can we move in?" I asked

   "We can move in whenever. We just need our clothes and stuff like that, since everything else is in place." Luke said kissing my head.

  I can't believe that Luke went through all of this just for me and our kids! It's crazy to think that we have only been together for two months now, it seems like longer than that! This all seems like a fairy tale!
