"Sydney, hurry up and get your breakfast so I can get you ready." I said getting Hunter's shoes on.

"I done." Sydney said getting down from her chair.

"Alright, come here so I can get you dressed and fix your hair." I said pulling her to me. I got Sydney dressed her in blue jeans and hot pink shirt, with her cowboy boots. I put her hair into a pony tail and put a pink bow in.

I put Hunter in his blue jeans, black shirt and his cowboy boots. I had on my black skirt and a baby blue blouse, with my black heels. My face  had very little make up and my hair was down.  I didn't do much to my hair. I thought I looked okay for my first day of work.

We made it to the daycare by six. I dropped my babies off in their rooms and headed to work.  I'm working in the front office, where I will be answering phones and taking messages. I know it's not much but it's a start. I walked in and saw a blonde hair girl with blue jeans and a simple top on. I feel over dressed. She is sitting at one of the desks.

"Hey, I'm Britney. Today is my first day." I told her. She looked up at me. I really hope that she's not judging me.

"Hi, I'm Kelsey. You will be spending everyday of the week with me." She said smiling. "This is your desk and all we do is answer phones and that's about it. If you have questions feel free to ask me."

"I will." I said sitting down at my desk. It's a very easy job and I had very few questions that I asked Kelsey. I spent the whole morning answering phones and writing down messages. Around one p.m. Kelsey came back from her lunch break, there has to be at least one of us around the phone at all times.

"You can go to lunch now." Kelsey said sitting down at her desk.

"Do I have thirty minutes?" I asked not for sure how long. I wasn't paying attention to how long she was gone for.

"We both have an hour for lunch." She said giving me a friendly smile. I got my purse and head to the front entrance when I ran into someone.

"I am so sorry. I didn't see you there." I said

"It's my fault, here let me help you up." The guy said holding his hand out for me.

"Thank you." I said taking his hand in mine. His hand fit mine perfectly. When I got on my feet and looked into his eyes, I knew right away who it was.

"You're the same girl from yesterday." Luke said with a smile on his face.

"Yes, and my name is Britney." I said smiling back at him. I can't believe that he remembers me! I can't believe that I'm acting this calm!

"Are you headed to get lunch?"

"Yeah, I was on my way to the diner that I went to yesterday." I told him.

"I was headed there too. Would you like to join me?"

"I would." I told him with a smile.

"Let's go." Luke said walking the way of the diner. I knew that I would eventually run into Luke, just from working at the record company but I was never expecting to run into him twice and having lunch with him only on my second day in this new town.

When we got to the diner Luke held the door opened for me.

"Thank you." I said smiling at him as I walked by him.

"Anything for a pretty girl." I swear my cheeks were bright red from that comment that he said. We found a table in the back and sat down.

"How are y'all doing this fine afternoon." The bubble waitress, I remember her name being Misty asked

"We are good, how are you, Misty?" Luke asked

"what can I get y'all to drink?"

   "I'll have a coke." I told her.

"Okay. I know you will have a coke to so I won't bother to ask you Luke."

"You know me so well." Luke said laughing.

"Yes, I do. I will be right back with your drinks." Misty said walking away.

"I take it that you come here a lot." I said looking at him

"Yeah, the boys and I come here whenever we can. I usually come here for lunch when I'm at the studio." Luke said looking at me.

   "Your boys are too cute."

"Your kids are too adorable. Especially that little girl of yours." Luke said smiling

   "Thank you." I said laughing.

   "Where do you work at?"

"I just started working at Capital Nashville Records."

"Really? Maybe I should have used the front entrance just to be able to see your pretty face."  I couldn't help the blush that took over my face. There is no way that the Luke Bryan thinks that little ole me is pretty.

"Here are your drinks." Misty said placing them down in front of us. "Are you ready to order, miss?"

"Yes, I will have a cheese burger with everything but tomatoes and fries." I said handing her my menu.

"I will have the usual." Luke said handing her the menu.

"If you both keep coming in here ordering almost the same thing, well that's okay with me. You just make my job easier." Misty said walking away.

"How long have you lived in Nashville?"

"We have been here for two days."

    "Where did you move from?"

"Oklahoma." I told him missing my home state.

"That's a ways from here. What brought you all this way?"

"I have always wanted to move to Nashville since I was little and I never got the chance till now. I wanted a better life for me and my kids." I told him being honest.

"So, I take it that your single." Is he hoping that I'm single?

    "Yes, I am."

"Nice." Luke said with a big smile on his face.

"What about you rock star? Are you single?" I don't know what came over me, but that is something that I would have never done before.

"Yes, and I have been single way too long?"

"What happened to the boys mother? You don't have to answer that, I shouldn't have asked you that."

"It's fine, there mother passed a year ago from cancer."

"I'm so sorry Luke. I shouldn't have asked you."

"No, I told you it was fine. Stop worrying about it. Is your kids' dad still around?"

"Yes and no. He screwed up too many times, using drugs and drinking. I told him I was done and he thought it was a good idea to join the army to try and prove himself to me." I told him being honest.

"do you think you will get back with him?" Luke said with a sad look on his face.

"No, I will never get back with him. I have been moving on with my life and it's going really good right now and I don't want it messed up."

"I don't blame you." Misty brought us our food and left without saying a word. I was finishing up my food when Luke asked me a question that I thought that Luke or let alone anyone else ask.
