Chapter 16

16.Kiss It Better.

Annika could hear the crowd cheering loudly for the singer.But right now,everything else blurred for her as she looked at Shivaay,his blue green eyes now holding a bright glow,a glow so deep,that Annika bet she could see his soul within it.

The lights were still dim and some bass voice was ringing out,probably some other song was playing by now,but they both couldn't care less.Shivaay slowly pulled her closer by her waist in a dead slow pace.

Eventually,when her chest collided with his,Annika held her breath for some unknown reason.Annika's heart told her that something is about to happen,she was anticipating something.

Shivaay was so lost in her eyes that he failed to notice how she slowly took her lower lip in between her teeth and when his eyes flicked to her lips for a second,he was tempted.

His face slowly inched closer to hers,at the same time their body was pressed to each others in an intimate way.One of his palm was now cupping her face and his thumb was moving in a circular motion on her cheekbone.Annika shivered at the contact as he continued making slow circles.She slowly released her lower lip as he now traced the corner of her lips.

He've never experienced something like this before in his entire life.He knew that Annika was special to him,but there was something more to it.It was a feeling so foreign to him that he,Shivaay Singh Oberoi,for the first time did not want to face it.

He loved how soft her skin felt against his palm,how come he never noticed that before?

"Shiv-vaay",Annika whispered breathlessly.He watched her eyelids flutter and close in the process and it took Shivaay everything in him to not taste those tempting lips of hers.

He immediately withdrew his hold on her waist,getting  out of the reverie they both slipped into.Shivaay didn't know what it was while Annika felt uneasiness.They've never been so..so lost before and she knew,as a matter of fact that this time Shivaay wasn't teasing her.She could see it in his eyes.Did that happen just in the heat of the moment or did it actually meant something?She didn't know and nor did she wanted to.

Shivaay rubbed his temple before clearing his throat in an attempt to not think what could have happened if they would have proceeded further.Annika on the other hand just looked at him blankly.What just happened?

Annika swiftly turned around getting back to her earlier position,she tightly closed her eyes to ease the embarrassment.Shivaay looked at her back and could see that she was equally unsettled.A small smile escaped his lips as he decided to tease her a bit.He again looped his hand around her from back,but this time kept a safe distance between their bodies as he knew how dangerous things would turn out if he won't keep a distance for now.

Annika froze  as he held her again,but immediately eased the next moment as he started slightly swaying them both in rhythm to song playing.He slowly brought his face closed to hers and placed his chin on her shoulder like before."Let's not be awkward about it,alright?",he whispered to her ear and Annika shyly nodded.This was so couple-ish and new to them,but nevertheless they both enjoyed whatever it was.

"Never ever think that you don't have a special place in my life.You are an integral part of my life and you always will be sweetheart.",Shivaay kissed her cheek as he whispered to her ear and Annika was all red-faced at his confession.She loved being in his arms and somewhere she knew that this was all his assurance after everything  she's told him about their relationship.This man really was the sweetest creature,no matter how hard to tries to conceal it,the sweet version in him was always visible.
