Chapter 17

17|The (life changing) plans.

Shivaay turned her around,taking her face in his palms,he  started peppering kisses on her forehead,her eyes and slowly moved downward,placing a kiss on her nose.Annika had a smile on her face throughout.For some unknown reason,she wasn't hesitant.

"I think we should sleep",he whispered with his face extremely close to hers and a small frown formed on her face but nonetheless did her best to conceal it with a smile.

The frown was back to her face as she walked to the en suite bathroom to freshen up.Behind the close doors,she took some time to collect her thoughts.Walking up to the mirror she started talking to herself."Why are you disappointed?It was the best evening of your life and you should be happy,Annika.",she smiled looking at her reflection.

"Urgh!But why is he so distant and..stupid?Budhu Singh Oberoi!Anyway,why should I let that affect me,It's not like I love him or anything.Do you,Annika?",she stupidly asked her reflection.

She took her makeup remover placed on the counter along with a cotton ball and started wiping her face."I mean he makes me happy like no one else and is really sweet,also,not to forget,extremely handsome and is the perfect husband,but do I..love him?"

Just then she could hear Shivaay calling her out.He normally never did that since he always preferred staying in the pool area whenever she used the bathroom.He was a gentleman like that.Her gentleman.

"What is it,Shivaay?",she shouted from the bathroom.

"There's a call from your office.Probably because you haven't replied to their mail today.",she could hear him say from outside.

"Why don't you attend it.I'm sure it's something unimportant"

"You sure?"mshe heard him ask.

"Positive",she said while stepping inside the cubicle for a relaxing shower.

"What was the call for?",Annika asked as she stepped out of the washroom.

Shivaay looked everywhere but her as he answered,"Erm..like you guessed it was something unimportant.Chodo na Annika,I'm sleepy.",he walked to his side of the bed still not bothering to look at her.

Annika looked at him suspiciously for a while before letting it go.What possibly could that be?He wouldn't lie to her now that they've reached so far in their relationship,would he?

Annika too got under the duvet before throwing the towel carelessly on the couch.She expected Shivaay to shout at her for that but he did not and she now knew that something was bothering him.

"Is everything alright,Shivaay?",she asked scooting closer to him on the bed.

"Yeah.What makes you think otherwise?"

"I don't know.You didn't answer me properly now and you didn't even whine when I threw the wet towel on the couch."

Shivaay finally looked at her and smiled,"I now know that you won't listen to me anyway.So let it be and did you just say that I whine?"he pulled her closer,wrapping his arm around her waist as she placed her head on his chest.

"Yes,I rightfully did that because you do whine like a ten year old at times."

An involuntary smile formed on his face as well."Achha?And what about times when I'm not a ten year old?",there was a sultry tone to it as he leaned his face closer to hers.

"You're extremely flirty these days.",she pushed his face away.

Annika couldn't deny the fact that these advances,even though silly,did have an effect on her.They've never been anything like a married couple until this trip happened and with just three days left to this,she was not ready for this beautiful bubble to burst and for them to go back to their normal routine.But no,she wouldn't dare voice that to Shivaay.Especially not to this version of him.

"Shivaay,where are we going tomorrow?",the excitement was clear in her voice.

He smiled looking at her excitement.He was glad to see this child-like Annika back.She resurfaced after long, the last time he have seen Annika like this was during her wedding planner days.Back then,her over-excitement to everything under the sun irked him to no end or so he claimed,but now this was everything to him.

"Well,we're yet to visit the iconic Christ statue,I wanted to save the best for last.So Christ the Redeemer and there's a mountain called Sugarloaf with cableway.So that'll be it then,I guess.Do you wanna go somewhere else,baby?",he tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear making Annika slightly blush at his action and the endearment.

"Rudra told me about this Sugarloaf mountain,he told me to try visit that place during sunset,can we?",she asked and received a nod from his end.

"And where is this placed called Lapa?Mallika told me to make sure we visit there as well.",she added.

"Trust Mallika to suggest that!",he chuckled befire continuing,"It's a party city basically,a street full of bars,clubs and open samba dances with the best nightlife I've heard,but never been there myself.You wanna go there?"

Annika answered affirmatively,shocking Shivaay."Might as well make some memories,now that we're here.Can we?",she added and Shivaay was suddenly happy to here that for reasons unknown.

"Anything for you,precious.",he kissed her forehead.

Annika couldn't help but laugh at that while he gave her a questioning look."Shivaay,you're seriously going overboard with these names now.It's so not you,stop."

"Well then get used to it.You seriously don't want to know the names that I plan to call you in the near future.Now sleep,goodnight",he kissed her forehead before switching the bed side lamp off.

Annika thanked her stars that he now couldn't see her face which was beet red.She didn't know what to interpret from what he told,but she sure did understand the meaning behind his words.

While Shivaay on the other side hugged her closer.He didn't understand what was happening to him.Is this what love feels like?he asked himself.Shivaay Singh Oberoi have never believed in love all these years.His dysfunctional family was enough for him to do so.But now that he have a beautiful enigma in the name Annika in his life,everything was changing.

Was his ideologies regarding loving changing too?He didn't have an answer to it but he sure did know that he would soon get one.

I know this was kinda filler,but before I show something I have in mind,I had to show this :)
