The not-so-suicidal Jumper || Chapter 2- Sorrow

--Maddy's POV--

The air zoomed around me, acting as a parashoot and slowing me down.

I could literally hear the screams and shrieks from the people on the ground- even if they were still kilometres away.

The corners of my mouth twisted up wider if they could, and just when I was about to try a flip, a massive aching pain occurred in my head, and my clothes were drenched in white paint.

I had landed on a window cleaner!

The man that cleans windows stared down at me like I was a monster- which I may have looked like- but that's beside the point.

"Ah, a little help would be nice," I smiled and the guy just stood there with his mouth wide open.

"Yeah, yeah! I'm a girl that just jumped from the skyscraper. Big deal, get yourself together man!"

He finally filled in the puzzles pieces and picked me up, then started going down, before I stopped him.

"Bring me back up?" He gasped and shook his head.

"You are not jumping back off that!"

"No, I want to go down the fire escape. All those people are kinda intimidating," I said and even though he didn't say anything, his expression showed he was frustrated with me.

I got off the top and noticed Taylor laughing so hard I was sure she was going to burst.

"Uh, hi?"

She took one look at my white self and pissed herself laughing again.

"OMG! Y-you landed in a paint bucket!" She cried, tears leaving her eyes. I chuckled a little and pulled her down from the roof.

We ran nonstop until we were at the elevator, and then we ran past the doorman and straight back near the train.

"Wait right here!" Taylor ordered and I stood in the shadows of a tree, until she came back with brand new high waisted black shorts, a grey shirt saying 'Ghost' on the front and a towel.

"Where did you get these?" I asked.

"That shop over there. They were on special and I had some extra cash."

"This is why I love you!" I giggled and cleaned my body free of white paint.

Then I changed into the new clothes.

"I also gotcha this," Tay said, pulling out a cute black beanie from behind her.

"Just in case someone happens to somehow recognise you."

I slipped it over my long wavy blonde hair and jumped onto the almost departing train.

I felt chills up my spine and I turned to the exact same creepy old man as before. In the exact same place.

"Can we go to the other train-" I began but the doors slammed shut before any other words could tumble from my mouth.

I gulp and awkwardly smile towards the staring man. Could he get any more weird?

"Uh, Tay. Can we sit over there," I point to the furthest point away from the man and she nods, us both skipping our way there.

"Is it that old man? He is really getting on my nerves.." Taylor grumbled quietly and I slowly bit my lip and nodded with my eyes.

I took this time to glance around the train. It looked completely normal; a mother and her three daughters, four gangster-looking teenage guys, a couple of men in business suits, the creepy old man, an nice old lady with her daughter and us.
