Chapter 20- Another run

The not-so-suicidal jumper || Chapter 20- On the run again
--Asher's POV--
I came back half an hour later and she was still sitting on the edge of the bed, staring into space. She was still in that slutty dress and I couldn't help but frown as I thought of the guy who made her wear it.
I still love Maddy, and it's incredibly difficult to think about anyone touching, hurting or liking her. I know that she said she couldn't be with either me or the one she slept with, but I can't help the feelings that creep back as soon as we touch.
I accidentally stumbled back suddenly, and the loud impact made Maddy's head shoot up to my face, and a slight smile took over. She brushed a piece of black hair behind her ear and I desperately wanted to kiss her.
"How long were you standing there?" She said and I smiled painfully.
"I'm not actually sure."
I walked over to where she was sitting and I sat beside her. I cupped her hand in mine and her beautiful aqua eyes looked into mine.
"You can trust me with anything, you know that. I'm your friend, and if you need to talk I with take up all the time you need."
I noticed that she couldn't help but look at her shoes and smile, which made me smile too.
"Alright, I'll tell you everything."
I listened perfectly through her hour long rant, and by the end she was out of breath and I was amazed and afraid. I was amazed that all of that happened in this small matter of time, and afraid that something could happen to Maddy with all the drama. She can't always protect herself.
"Asher?" She asked after a long silence and I nodded.
"Do you forgive me?" She sounded small and weak for once and her eyes pour into mine seriously.
"Of course I do. Even though I almost died, you were to one who revived me- remember? I'm not even upset that I went along with your plan," I spoke very genuinely because it was all true. I could have died but I didn't, and that's because of Maddy. It wasn't all her fault that I got stuck in the building anyway. It was mine because I didn't move quick enough.
"Maybe you should get changed," I said and pointed to the wardrobe where my younger cousins clothes were still there.
I walked out and shut the door behind me. I stayed in the exact same spot until she squeaked out a small 'I'm done.'
I went back in and I grinned when I noticed her wearing an oversized superman sweater, black ripped skinny jeans and white converse.
"You look nice," I commented and she smiled gratefully. "Thanks Ash."
I frowned when I heard a noise from outside. I stood up and walked towards the window.
"You need to leave!" I said a little harshly and Maddy's mouth parted in a confused matter.
She got up as well and peered out the window. I sudden look of realisation came across her face and she sighed. The flashing car lights and the men in blue uniform came out and started for the front door. I unlocked the window and pushed it open quickly but quietly. I grabbed Maddy's waist and I lifted her out of my house, and then when she started running for my backyard, I came after her.
"Hop on!" I whispered and I whistled to Winter, and she trotted over.
Maddy smiled as memories of my horse flooded back and I pulled her up with me. Without further thinking I pulled the reins and Winter set off at a fast pace.
"Where are we going?" Maddy asked as the wind whipped her hair across her face, making it difficult to see.
"The place you are staying with your other friends."
I stopped Winter in front of the house and Maddy jumped off happily when the door opened and Emma ran out, jumping on Maddy with every bit of strength.
"Bye Maddy," I said and she looked up at me, smiling. "See ya Ash."

--Maddy's POV--
I pushed Emma up and laughed when she wrapped her arms around my waist and gave me a firm squeeze. Carter and Jack came out from the house and relief washed across Carter's face. Jack sighed and joined Emma and I in the hug. Carter came in seconds later.
Jack released when Meghan stepped out the door. We wrapped his arms around her instead and placed a soft kiss on her lips.
"Thank god you're alright!" Emma said and Carter nodded.
"Everyone was so worried. I'm so glad you are safe too," Meghan smiled, showing her pearly white teeth and I nodded. Something seemed up with her. She looked fidgety- like she didn't want to be here. I'll have to ask her later.
"I need to fix the fence," Jack commented and I looked over to where there was a part that had broken down.
"I'll be in my room," Meghan kissed him and walked away.
"You look like you need a rest. Carter and I will be watching tv," Emma nodded and pulled Carter away by the wrist.
I walked into my room and then remembered I was going to talk to Meghan. I'll do that now.
I started to go towards her room when I heard a growl coming from inside.
I softly pushed open the door an inch and pecked inside. I was shocked by the image.
Meghan was lying on her bed with the blankets pushed onto the floor. She had no shirt on and was only in a lacy bra. She still had her skirt on though. The most horrifying part was that there was a shirtless guy straddling her. He only had boxers on and they were making out. Another thing I really didn't have to see was when Meghan's hand creeped into his boxers, making him moan slowly. She started pulling down his boxers at the same time he was unclipping her bra.
I walked away and bumped into Jack. He looked down and smiled.
"Hey Maddy, I was just going to get my beautiful girlfriend."
He stepped away and I jumped in front of him again.
"No!.. Maybe later..?" I whimpered. I didn't want him hurt.
"Don't be silly."
He pushed open the door and I turned the other way quickly. Meghan didn't have a bra on anymore and the guy was completely nude. I turned back and Meghan had quickly shrugged her shirt back on and the guy had shorts now.
"Get out!" Jack growled at the guy and then he turned to Meghan.
"You little whore! I can't believe that I fell for your little act and only saw the 'sweet' side. I actually thought you were better than that!" He started to crack at the end and I calmly took his hand in mine as an act of kindness.
"You are to boring Jack. Brendan can actually satisfy me whenever I want. You are very hot and amazing in bed but you want a relationship. I don't."
She glared at me and walked out. Jack let out a frustrated sigh and I led him into the kitchen.
"Why did you try and stop me..?" He asked after a minute of silence.
"I didn't want you to get hurt. I'm your friend and that was the worst scenario possible at that moment," I said and we embraced each other in a hug.
"Thanks Maddy. You really are a great friend."
"So I heard you are 'amazing in bed?'. Wanna test that theory on me one time?" I joked to lighten the mood and I think it worked when Jack chuckled.
"Anytime babe," he joked back. I couldn't help that his voice held more than just a joke though.
