chapter one || missing you
___________________she was incased in the warmth of her bedsheets, cradling herself underneath them, not letting the cold air of her flat reach any part of her body as she shivered lightly. her ears ached as she heard the familiar ringing noise of her phone's alarm, her arm reached out to press snooze, and underestimating the length from her bed to her phone caused her entire body to slowly roll of off her bed, her blankets coming down with her. her groan echoed throughout the bare room along with the ringing of her phone. she stayed positioned on the floor for a small moment, allowing herself to regain conscious from her previous deep sleep, until reaching up to her phone, ending her alarm to begin scrolling through her various notifications, but her eyes only catching onto two.

call me once you're awake! i miss seeing your face!she excitedly jumped up off of the floor and ran into her bathroom while unlocking her phone and opening up a facetime call, placing it to rest on the bench next to the sink as she pulled out her tooth brush and tooth paste and started brushing her teeth. as she spit out the residue it was obvious her call had been picked up due to the obvious ringing tone disappearing and being replaced by her boyfriends voice.
"hey babe! how are you? i've missed you so much!" her eyes lit up as she saw the pixelated view of him displayed on the screen.
"i've missed you so much too! it's boring here without you. how's the tour going?" oh how she missed him, some days she'd just walk around her apartment and sulk with a blanket around her not knowing what to do, and some days she'd go over to his apartment even though she knew he wouldn't be there, she'd go just to lie in his bed to be reminded of his scent and a small reminder of his warmth and protection.
"it's so amazing! there's such a rush to performing and getting to meet everyone, oh! all the people we meet are so kind and sweet and-" although he continued to list how amazing the tour had been so far and all his amazing experiences, she spaced out, enchanted and enticed by just the way he looked, obsessing over the way his voice got slightly higher and lifted when he talked about what he was passionate about and the way his eyes lit up when he was happy and excited. she soon tuned in again to make sure she didn't miss a single word he said, even though she had already missed out on half of his rant.
"i love touring so much, but I'm already aching to go home and spend time with you at home" he looked lovingly through the camera as he watched her start to fiddle around with objects on the bathroom bench, most likely her makeup, as he knew she had to attend work soon. she giggled internally at his words, knowing they would see each other very soon due to her upcoming surprise, but she went along with him, making sure to not spoil anything.
"i know, we aren't going to be together for ages, oh what shall i do without you here!" They both giggled in unison at her exaggerated sarcasm, laughing at how she made fun of him, still knowing it was friendly banter.
"it must be so traumatising to be without a beautiful being such as myself." He went along with her, continuing on their little jokes.
"oh it is." She spoke with a tone slightly more serious but still a sweet smile plastered on her face, it's not like she could show any other emotion, she could never be anything other than happy with him.
