chapter two || thinking of you
_____________________she pondered little thoughts as she leant against the wooden counter and waited for someone to request her of her service as she listened lightly to the silent chatter of the cafe surrounding her. she reminded herself of her loving boyfriend, thinking of his soft touch and his warm embrace, his beautiful brown eyes and his pink and plump lips, his sweet and caring personality and his incredible sense of humour. she missed seeing him and the days slowly tortured her as she went on without him. she was soon taken out of her trance to find someone in front of her, trying to attract her attention.
"hi, i'm sorry, i was just hoping i could order a caramel frappe?" a pink tint covered her face as she felt herself flood in embarrassment, before repositioning herself to be seen as more professional. she was confronted by a young man, he had light brown scruffy hair and deep blue eyes which made him come off as quite appealing.
"oh, i'm sorry i just sort of blanked out, i've been having a rough week. so is that a small, regular or large?" she mentally scolded herself for going on but quickly got back on track to her job.
"it's okay, we all have those weeks. just a regular thanks." he smiled at her as she input his short order, calculating the price as he grabbed out his wallet.
"that'll be £3.45 pounds please." he passed her a £5 note and thanked her as she handed him his receipt and his change.
"keep the change, hope your week get a bit better." she smiled at the kind gesture, silently thanking him with her sweet grin and took the change and placed it in her pocket, counting it as her tips for the day as she passed on the receipt to her only current co-worker who was current working the machines.
the man continued to stare at her from across the room as he waited for his coffee to be called but she was too stuck back again into her previous trance, thinking of all the beautiful things in life, him.
