chapter seven || discovering you

she woke up with a groan before rolling g to see him sleeping peacefully in a bundle. she tried to get out of the bed quietly to not wake him up but he quickly felt the shift of weight off of the bed and slowly arises from his slumber. he rubbed his eyes slowing opening the, to see her standing there a smile on her face.
'good morning babe, how was your rest?' She questioned him as a sweet look rested on both of their faces and they exchanged greetings.
'good morning, it was great with you. what are you getting up for? stay in bed with me.' he groaned as he tugged on her shirt, tempting her to go back under the sheets.
'you're so cheesy dan, you make me laugh. i was just going to have a shower, i feel a little sweaty due to it being so hot in your room.' she grinned at his goofing as she wandered off into the bathroom, removing her clothes to jump into the shower, but not before she heard him call out to her,
'tmi! don't drown!' she could hear him laugh causing butterflies to rise in her stomach. she turned the knobs of the slowly heating shower as she stood under the streaming water, it caressing her curves as the warm water slide down her body as she started washing her hair, getting on with her shower.
as she climbed out the shower she changed into a new pair of clothes she bought in with her, then brushing her teeth with one of the sets the hotel supplied. as she filled her mouth with the minty gel she noticed a large sighting sitting on the bench beside the sink. it was a black lace covered bra, one she was certain that wasn't hers, along with a note that seemed to be written on a piece of paper that was from one of those paper notepads that the hotel supplied, written neatly on with the words,
'thankyou so much for last night babe, here's a reminder that i'll be seeing you tomorrow night! xx'
she stared at the note in disgust as she heard the light pitter-patter of his feet stepping around the hotel room.
she couldn't believe he would do this to her.
she didn't want to believe he had done this to her.
she spoke loudly as she spat the paste into the sink, making sure her words were heard by him.
'i should've told you that i was coming, then you would have had time to prepare for me coming.' she spoke with a monotone, disappointed in him, convincing herself not to assume anything too terrible.
'i actually quite enjoyed the surprise, it's great having your here.' she thought carefully about her next words, as they may have not been true, and she wasn't too sure on how to pursue them.
'well i'm really sorry but I won't be staying here long, i've got a flight home in a couple of hours and I've got to leave for the airport soon. I've got to work at the cafe tomorrow.' she spoke as she wondered out the bathroom to see him sitting at the small supplied desk with his laptop open, him staring at her in shock at her words.
'you've got to kidding me! you just came! can't you get the day off? i'll pay for another plane ticket!' she was sure he'd see the message his lover left him soon and he'd stick the puzzle pieces together.
'i'm really sorry babe, we're low on workers right now and i really need the extra pay.' that was a lie, but she probably would need more cash soon due to having to pay for another ticket. he watched as she packed her belongings into her tightly packed suitcase. she wanted to get out of there as soon as possible, she couldn't stand being near him.
'i'll miss you.' he hugged her from behind squeezing her tightly as if he didn't want to let her go ever, and she didn't want him to let her go either.
'i'll miss you too.' she said, but she didn't mean just for the rest of the tour, she looked down at her phone, booking herself an uber as he let go of their tight embrace.
'do you want me to come to the airport with you?' he asked with small concern in his voice, watching her roll her suitcase out the door.
'no, it'll just make the departing longer and more painful. i'll be fine, i'll contact you when I arrive home.' she leaned in a gave him a slight peck on his cheek before making her way over to the elevator as he stood at his door.
'i love you.
