If You Do Anything Today

If you do anything today,
Would I be in your every single breath?
Would your eyes twinkle when you think of me?
Or would they harden when you come to know what I did?

I tried, you know I tried
I crossed oceans, chased mountains
But I could only travel for so long
Until everything in me lay bruised and broken

I should've pushed farther,
I should've gone through extra mile
But I couldn't make myself to be stronger
When I couldn't see you waiting on the horizon with a smile

Oh, how I could've traded worlds for you
Caught stars, so I could put them in your eyes
Would've done it all until I was black and blue

But none would've mattered,
For my dreams lay in ice
