if someone asked you
to define happiness,
what would be your response?
would it be
to laugh in the kitchen with someone
whom you love dearly?
or to smile generously without fail?
would it be
to be able to hug someone
when times get hard?
or to throw a water ballon at them
on a hot, and sunny day?
would it be
to lie awake with someone
all night
because you had a nightmare?
or to go on cheap bowling dates,
Although you both suck?
how would you define happiness?
simply as a color, like yellow?
or, just a feeling we all should feel but don't?
