I wake up on the couch. I look around for Liam but my eyes rest on a piece of paper lying next to my head.
Got called in early, didn't want to wake you.
Love, L
I sigh. My stomach growls. I already miss him. It's like the part of my brain that once held my emotions for Liam is coming back.
I just want to wake up and remember everything. It'll never happen; it couldn't be that easy.
I go to the bathroom and change clothes. I'm craving a sub sandwich. I google directions to the closest Subway and find that there's one just outside the trailer park. Since I'll be walking, I put on dark jeans, a sweater, and boots.
I hop down my porch steps and walk towards the entrance. A few people wave so I wave back. I cross the street and open the door to Subway.
There's only one other person here, and guess who it is.
"Hey! Jo, I bought you lunch and I was just gonna drop it off." Braden stands up and waves. I smile on the outside and walk over to where he's sitting.
"You certainly didn't have to buy me lunch." I say, but I take the sandwich regardless. I pull out my chair and sit opposite Braden.
"So how was Liam's visit?" He asks. His tone sounds sour and I wonder if he's jealous.
"How did you know he visited?" I ask him, unwrapping my sub. Surprisingly, it has everything on it I usually get. It sort've creeps me out.
"I saw you guys jump in the lake. Neighbor- remember?" He laughs.
"Oh right. Well, it was good to see him." I take a bit of my sandwich.
"Do you miss him?" Braden asks. He's suddenly very concerned with my relationship details.
"Erm...yeah I suppose." I mumble between bits of lettuce.
"How much?" He questions further.
"Enough."
"But how much is enough, do you just-" I interrupt him with my sudden departure. I pick up my sandwich and stroll outside. I walk briskly back to my trailer with Braden on my heels. He never seems to quit.
"Sorry, I'm just interested!" He shouts as I jump up on my porch.
"I know, and it's weird!" I shout back at him, shutting the door rightfully in his face. I draw the curtains and close my back door.
I wonder how long he sat out there until he gave up.

I'm really emotional rn so I'm gonna tell you why.
I met this really nice and super adorable boy at school and he happens to be in four of my classes. He's sort've been flirty with me and tonight at the football game, I saw him holding hands with his apparent girlfriend. It was so upsetting because I actually thought he was interested in me but I guess not..
