Were We Meant To Be?

Chapter one:

Danielle's P.O.V

It's another hot summer day here in San Antonio, Texas. Drew Sparks one of my best friend and I are outside playing basketball in my drive way. I go for a 3 pointer and make it , I used to play basketball, and I can tell you one thing, I was very good at it.

"Nice shoot, Danielle" Drew tells me with a wide grin on his face.

"We'll thank you, it's skill" I say with a pleases smirk on my face.

Hi! My names Danielle Rose. I live in San Antonio, TX. I am in my senior year at Lady Bird High School. I have long black hair with light brown eyes. I am the head cheerleader for the cheerleading squad and also the soccer star player at my school, I don't like to think of myself as the best cheerleader or soccer player at my school, but most guys and girls think so, so I just like to go with it to fit in I guess. Jake Staggs is my best friend/boyfriend and the captain of the football team. I like and love him every much.

30 minutes past and we've been playing basketball, for what feels like forever. We were about to head inside and take a break, when all of sudden we hear a moving truck park outside of the house next to mine.

Who could be moving in?

"I wonder who's moving in?" Drew asked. As if reading my mind.

"I don't know should we go welcome them into town?"

"Yeah I guess so."

We are walking over to the new neighbors, thinking of what to expect. Are they nice? Do they have any kids? What are they like? Question after question went through my mind. We're now standing in front of the door ready to knock, when the door suddenly swings open.

"Hey!" Said the boy standing in front of me, "I'm Austin Mahone." He finished. My light brown eyes connected with his hazel ones for the very first time and I can honestly say I melted. He had dark brown shaggy hair and a nice perfect white smile. He was a bit taller than me, I'd say he probably was 5'10 or so. It took me a few seconds to realize that we were staring in each other.

Goodness, he's prefect!

"Hey, I'm Danielle Rose your neighbor next door and this is my friend, Drew" I said extending my hand for him to shake it, but instead he walked towards me and pulled me into a big bear hug. Before I knew what was happening, I was already in his strong muscular arms, his sent filled my nose and squeezed me tight before pulling away.

Drew clears his throat "umm Danielle we should be heading back now" he said. While getting a hold of my arm and pulling me apart from Austin. "No, I think we could stay for a couple more minutes and get to know each other." I told him still looking towards Austin's direction. "Danielle, it wasn't a question, we really have to go!" He said starting to sound a bit mad and annoyed. "Alright, we'll go. Bye Austin, see you around sometime."

"What the hell was that, Drew!"

"Sorry, but it looked like he's into you, and you have a boyfriend, Danielle!"

"Oh my gosh, Drew give me a break, we just met and don't think he already likes me and besides I respect my relationship with Jake!"

"Okay maybe I was over reacting." He said as whisper

"It's okay Drew as long as you don't do it again, promise?"

"I won't, I promise. I'm sorry"

We finally reached my house and enter it, we headed for my kitchen. I grab some left over pizza from last night and Drew prepares himself a sandwich. As we finish our meal, we realized that it was getting dark and it was time for Drew to go home. He only lives a couple of blocks away.

I take another slice of pizza and a Pepsi and headed to my room. I walk the long stair case as if it was never ending. Finally when I reach my room, I get a pair of Nike shorts and a Chicago Bulls t-shirt, and head for the bathroom to take a nice relaxing shower.

As I exit my bathroom, I take my phone from my dresser and plug it in its charger to charge for the night. I climb into bed and fall fast asleep.
