×Your POV×
"I'm back!" Chara's happy voice snapped me from my thoughts. They walked into the empty room, interrupting the silence. They obviously found their targets, their brown hair was stuck together and dyed red from drying blood, their green and yellow sweater was dusty and ripped slightly, their pants and shoes were covered in dirt and dust, which was stuck to them by dried snow. And, of course, in their hand was a sharp, bloodied, kitchen knife. They laughed and twirled the knife casually.
"I assume it went well, than?" They continued to laugh for a moment before the sound ceased. As their hand reached to their eye to wipe a away a fake tear I noticed it, the deep slash that stretched along their arm. Finally, they nodded and smiled sadistically.
"It went perfectly! I wish you would've been there," they slashed through the air, "you would've loved it! There was blood and screams and one even tried to run away! As I'm sure you noticed they didn't get to far." They motioned to their dust covered shoes. I couldn't hold back the smile that crept onto my face, it hurt my cheeks and showed my teeth. Finally I forced it away and looked at their arm, which was covered by the sleeve of their sweater.
"What happened to your arm?" They pulled up their sleeve to reveal, not only a slash that reached their hand, but a long deep cut that went up their forearm and even reached their neck. Their veins popped from their skin and blood was dried to the inside of their sleeve and on their whole arm. A look of concern crossed my face. I knew they were hurt but that was pretty bad.
"This? It's a new battle scar. Turns out Alphys is a fighter!" Another dark chuckle escaped them. "You should've seen it. She bit me! Her teeth did this. I had fun killing her after that." I smirk a bit.
"You would've had fun killing her anyway." I pointed out. They nodded with a happy sigh. They took a look around the old Grillby's and it's worn down condition. The once bright and sturdy wood was now chipping and rotting away, the tables and chairs were broken in half and drenched in alcohol. At this point, the whole building could go up in flames. And it brought a smile to Chara's face. They loved the fact that it was dangerous to be in and it's torn apart condition. Why I don't know, but I think it had something to do with the adrenaline rush it gave them.
Finally their smile dropped a bit and they looked back at me. They rolled their eyes and motioned to their arm. This action made me smile as I sat them down and knelt by their side. A scoff left them as I inspected the deep wound. I bit my lip in a concerned manor and stood, leaving for the bar. I reached under it and grabbed a bottle of rubbing alcohol and an ace bandage. I heard Chara grumble quietly from their spot in the booth.
As much as they seemed to protest to the care, I knew they wanted it. They wouldn't have allowed me to help them if they didn't want help. It seemed like they didn't care about it but they did, I knew they did. Chara always acted like they were never hurt, but it must really have hurt for them to let me bandage it.
As I walked back over Chara rested their arm on the table. They also plopped their chin into their other hand and refused to look at me. I slid into the booth across from them and waited for their okay to continue. After a moment or two they waved me off before placing their head in their hand again. I nodded in reply and turned the cap to the alcohol.
"This is gonna hurt." I warned them. They smiled without humor and rolled their eyes.
"Yeah, I know. Just do it." They replied in a monotone voice. I nodded again and poured the alcohol on the cut. Chara visibly tensed and squeezed their eyes shut. As much as they fought back any emotion that threatened to show, I knew that it hurt like a bitch. After a moment of this Chara relaxed a bit as they got used to the pain. I looked at it and realized it probably needed stitches, but it might have been too long ago to stitch up now.
"How old is this?" Chara let out a pained breath and looked back at me. They squinted at me, glaring dangers my way. Of course, they knew what was needed, but they didn't want to allow it. At the same time though, they knew they couldn't lie to me. I held their gaze for a minute before, finally, they looked away in defeat.
"I killed Alphys last. It wasn't too long ago." They admitted. I nodded back at them.
"You know what that means, right?" I heard a low growl in return. Chara's hand started to dig into the seat, tearing the old leather. Another glare was shot my way in protest to it.
"Yeah. Whatever." At that I stood up and walked away, grabbing a needle and some red thread. I noticed Chara glancing at me to see if I was really doing this to them. Of course, I was, and they knew that.
I slid back into the booth and held up the needle and thread. Chara shook their head slowly, a deep scowl on their face. They glanced at me again before turning away. I heard a quiet mumble but couldn't quite make out what they said. I tilted my head to the side, blinking in slight confusion. Chara obviously saw this because they sighed and looked at me fully.
"I said, just get it over with." I nodded and grabbed Chara's wrist and held their arm down, placing the needle against their skin.
"Sorry about this."
