Jamie's POV
You know that exhausted feeling you get after a long tiring flight but then people around you can't shut up?
Yup, I'm experiencing that as of right now.
Layla, Tara and Matilda were gushing about a magazine that the three were currently reading. We were at a hotel in Mexico right now, though I can't remember the name, and in Matilda's room. Actually it was our room because we were sharing. I wanted to sleep but the noise coming from the three girls were rather disturbing. I decided, some minutes later, that I would go tour the hotel an probably have a look around Mexico. I slipped my phone into one of the back pocket's of my black jeans.
"I'm going to look around the hotel," I told the girls who seemed to not have heard. I didn't even bother to repeat myself since it would be a waste of breadth. I opened the door then closed it behind me. I waited for the elevator to stop at my level. The doors opened and I stepped into the elevator. There was a woman with twins who looked around 1-2, I guess. Her hair was red, purple and navy blue, trailing down her back. She seemed to be in her early twenties and wore dark blue shorts and a crop top, sunglasses covering her eyes. The twins, however, looked nothing like her. It was so obvious that they were twins since they had the same physical features.
"You are really tall," the boy stated but really came out as 'weely'. I turned around and looked down at the little boy.
"Jay," the lady said but sent an apologetic smile in my direction. The elevator stopped and then the doors opened but not without that annoying ding sound. We all stepped out at the same time.
"It's okay," I told the lady but then turned to the little boy.
"You are quite tall for your age," I observed. "What's your name?" I asked even though the lady just called him Jay. He answered but I heard Say and I doubted that was his name.
"James he meant," the lady translated as I stepped to the side for someone to pass.
"My name is James, too," I told him.
"Really?" the little girl asked. I even forgot that she was here since she was quiet.
"Yeah, and what is yours?" I asked, kneeling down to to try to meet their height but I was still taller.
"Jessie," she answered. She spoke as though she was 3 or 4 but I think she's about a year old or two. She was like her brother. Blond hair, crystal-like blue eyes and a tanned complexion. Just that his hair was shorter than hers made them different, otherwise you could easily mistake them both for each other.
"Well we better get going," the multicolored hair lady said and I nodded. She grip their hands and guided them down the hall but James turned around.
"Bye, James!" he said and I said goodbye to him, too. There was something about them that gave me that guilty feeling again. Some part of them reminded me of Tessa, probably the blond hair. I shrugged off my thought and walked the opposite direction where the twins and the lady headed. The luxurious hotel's walls were bright colours. I walked through the exit door and onto the busy pavement. The street was fill with noise and people rushing to get to their destination, shoving people in the process. I couldn't make out what most people were saying because they were speaking Spanish. One or two English voices filled the air. I stepped back inside the hotel then headed back into my room my room on the fourth floor. I was bored and didn't know what to do. The streets were crowded and I wasn't feeling to tour the hotel again. I desperately needed some sleep. I opened the door and Matilda, Layla and Tara were watching a movie.
"Hey, where did you go?" Matilda asked.
"Just took a walk," I answered. I kicked off my shoes and walked into the bedroom. I threw myself on the bed and within the blink of an eye, I was sleeping like a dead person.
Tessa's POV
"Mommy! Mommy!" Jay exclaimed as he ran into me, hugging my legs but what he said next I couldn't understand at all. All I head was James and tall.
"What he is trying to say," Alyssa chuckled, "Is that this guy in the elevator who we met, name is James, too." Alyssa was Aline's sister and the twins he taken a liking to her since it was their first time meeting her which shocked me. When they first met Jayden, they hid from him.
"Mommy, he was really tall," Jay told me but really came out as 'weely'.
"What do you want to eat?" Aline asked me as I took a seat in the dining room. Jay climbed onto my lap while Jessie was playing with Alyssa.
"No thanks, I'm good," I told her.
"You sure?" she questioned.
"Yeah, I'm not hungry," I admitted. She was about to say something but at the same time, her mother called her.
"Mommy, I want to sleep," Jay told me and rested his head on my chest. I stood up, holding him in my arms.
"I'm going to put Jay to sleep," I told Ed and he nodded.
"Looks like Jess needs a nap, too," he chuckled. I looked at my daughter who was struggling to keep her eyes open but just a while ago they had a lot of energy. That's one thing I never understood about my kids. One minute they have a lot of energy but then they get sleepy all of a sudden. Ed took Jessie and put her on his back. We walked to the elevator and Ed pressed the button to our floor. We waited for the elevator to open in comfortable silence. Soon, we were on the fourth floor and I took out my key from my jeans pocket and opened the door but at the same time, Edward's body stiffened next to me.
"Go inside quick," he said and I did as I was told and he kicked the door shut.
"What was that about?!" I demanded as we walked into the room. I put Jay down then Edward put Jessie on the bed, too and I put some pillows to prevent them from falling off the bed. I turned to Edward. "Well?" I wanted an answer for his sudden mood change.
"I thought I saw someone," he frowned. "It's nothing. I think it's the alcohol Jake gave me. Sorry if I frightened you," he apologized.
"Edward, who did you see?" I asked cautiously.
"Nothing," he said, his voice distant. I could tell he was thinking. "I'll just stay upstairs with you guys for a while," he told me but I knew something was wrong. We went into the living room and sat on the couch. I found it very weird about his mood change. I wondered if he saw a man with a gun or knife but he blamed it on the alcohol. I turned on the television and searched through the guide until I saw Doctors. As a doctor, I loved that show.
"Oh God, not again," Ed whined. Ed hated doctors because usually watching blood or seeing inside the human body gave him the feeling to vomit. I found it stupid that he felt sick watching that because he was human, too!
"It's either that or The Kardashians," I told him as I searched through the guide. I saw that episode and I know that Ed hates The Kardashians more.
"Fine, Doctors it is then," he sighed and I grinned.
I couldn't help but feel that something was wrong but Ed wasn't telling me.
Author's Note: How is this chapter? Is it good? Sorry for any typos, I haven't proof read this chapter so feel free to point out any. Isn't it obvious who Edward thought he saw? Anyways, I have a question, yet again, for you guys. You know what? I'll do a question at the end of every chapter from now.
Question of the chapter:
What is your favourite reality show or shows if you have more than one?
Mine's Keeping Up With the Kardashians, Supernatural, The Originals, Vampire Diaries, Pretty Little Liars and Chrisley Knows Best. Comment yours!
