The Turning Point

As I got up from my bed, I looked around the room. I felt as if I was trapped inside this house. Like something was binding me here. I swung my legs over the side of the bed. As they hit the floor, I felt a shiver run through my spine. I looked down at my feet and started to feel my head spin. Before I could do anything I was pulled back into unconsciousness.

"No! Please don't! I'm begging you! You promised me you wouldn't!" As I screamed at her, I felt my tears run down my face. She promised she would never hurt me.

"I promised you, but I also promised the witches when the time came and you found him. I would kill you. As the others before me! Every single one of you guardians have made this promise and many of us carried it out! I'm sorry, Katerina!" Why would she do this to me!

"No! You won't take her from me again! Every time one of you Bennett witches takes her away from me! I won't let it happen!" As I heard his voice, I turned around.

"Nik!" I screamed out his name and ran into his open arms. I felt his arms snake around me and his hand start to run through my hair to calm me.

"Shush, I'm here now. I won't let them take you away from me again. We will be together forever, like I promised. I will never leave." As he talked I felt his lips kiss my forehead, then he hugged my closer to him. As I was in his arms I started to start to stop crying.

"No! I won't let you have her!" As I heard her voice, she started to speak Latin, a spell of some sort. As she said the spell, the wind ripped me away from him.

"No! Give her back!"

"Nik! Please save me!" As I screamed out for him, I saw him have the face I dreaded to see, him being afraid. I promised him he would never have to be afraid and here am I making him afraid. I broke my promise, no, I didn't mean to.

"You will never have her Niklaus! As long as my bloodline lives on, she will never be yours!" As I heard her speak, I started to feel fear run through me.

"Nik! Please! I don't want them to take me from you!" As I screamed for him, I felt her stab me in the stomach. I managed to get one last sentence out.

"I'm sorry..... Nik, I love you....." As I felt the life slip from my body, I saw the look of horror cross over his face. Then the look of pure utter fury.

"No!!" Was the last thing I heard him scream to me.
