For days, Young Hyun kept asking himself what was wrong since the day Krizza deleted all her photos in IG after responding to his message. He read her reply several times and knew that she was upset.

He tried to apologize, but she never responded. He wanted to call her despite the international call rate, but he decided to give her time to cool down.

It was his fault though, he was aware. Why did he even do that?

But he must admit: he was annoyed seeing those photos of Krizza and some guys, especially that BlueMartin.

Then the day before Krizza's scheduled return to Seoul, he wrote her a short letter. After four crumpled papers, he went to her apartment and posted the note on her door. While doing so, he was actually wishing that she would read it and forgive him.

"Hey, Brian. Why is this so sad? You wanted our fans to drown us with their tears?"

He looked up from his notebook and stared at Jae. The guy was holding the notepad with the lyrics he wrote for their B-side track.

"I know what I just said sounded cool, but can you make this a little not too depressing? Sungjin might not be able to sing this without crying first." Jae added as he sat beside him.

"Leave it. I'll get back to that later." He said dismissively and returned his attention to the lead track he was working on.

He had been trying to write songs for their next album, but lately, the words that were coming out of the end of his pen were kind of melancholic. They were planning to release a song that would just feel good, but he was having a hard time writing one.

"Ya, Krizza's arrival is today, right?" Jae asked while fumbling for his phone. "Let's call her."

Young Hyun put his pen down and waited with Jae for the other line to pick up. They did not have to wait for long though because she answered immediately.

"Hello?"

The two exchanged puzzled glances. She did not seem fine.

So Jae asked, "Are you okay? You sound..."

"I'm just tired. I just arrived from London, you know." She cut in.

"Right. I just called to make sure you arrived safe. I mean, someone asked me to." Jae looked at Young Hyun, teasing.

He scolded him in return, "Ya."

He thought she would drop the call on them, instead she said, "Tell that someone that I'm fine and that I won't be breaking my promise."

A smile slowly formed on his face.

Then Jae told him, "Ya' hear that?" And laughed.

He could probably start writing less depressing songs.

...

It was his birthday and he was nervous. Was it normal?

He asked the four to go to the restaurant first because he still had somewhere to drop by. He had to get his peace offering from a shop in Gangnam.

From there, he went directly to the restaurant. He saw the food servers came out of the room they reserved and greeted them, then he went in.

The group was shocked to see him open the door. They all froze as if caught red-handed. His eyes transferred from one to another, looking at their surprised faces.

But they recovered eventually.

"Eeeyyyy." Dowoon threw a table napkin, frustrated about something.

Krizza laughed out loud at him, which got Young Hyun's attention. He stared at her with amazement. Was she no longer mad?

He asked, "Wae?" (Why?)

She looked away and shook her head. "Nothing." She was blushing.

"Why do you have to arrive at the wrong time?" It was Jae who answered him, but with another question.

He went inside and sat between Wonpil and Dowoon, across Krizza. He did not even notice that he had shoved Wonpil aside.

"Wae?" He asked again, looking at his friends. "What happened?"

"They were planning to surprise you, but you just spoiled the plan."

He was more surprised that she finally talked to him! He found it relieving which made him laugh so hard. He knew he looked dumb from laughing too much at something not even funny, but he was just too happy.

"Ya, ya." Sungjin finally stopped him. He did stop, but he remained smiling.

They sang him the 'Happy Birthday' song in Korean and English before they ate. The cake they provided him was a 'normal' black forest cake Krizza bought on her way there.

While eating, they asked Krizza about Japan and London while she asked them about their world tour. They laughed at her when she mentioned she never get out of the hotel without anyone accompanying her. However, although she was joking around with them, she could not seem to look or speak directly to Young Hyun. It actually made him nervous.

She gave them her gifts from Japan and London after the four guys gave their presents to the celebrant. But it was her gift which Young Hyun was looking forward to the most. He was so excited that he asked, "Can I open it now?"

She shrugged and said, "Go on."

He was about to open the gift when Krizza's phone rang. She excused herself and went outside the room to answer the call.

"Open it," Jae urged him, probably excited as well with what was inside the box.

He did not open it though. He waited for Krizza to come back, but when he could no longer wait, he decided to go out. And he was shocked when he saw her crying!

She smiled at him when their eyes met and he noticed that the tears were actually out of joy. He was relieved.

"How...how did it happen? I mean, I was no longer hoping for it to be made on screen the moment they sent me here."

He leaned on the wall in front of her without taking his eyes away from her. He watched her as her joy turned to sorrow. He ran to her when she just suddenly collapsed to the floor.

"Ms. Tin, you know that I spent half of my life developing that story, right? So it is just fair that I direct it." She was distressed.

Young Hyun did not know what to do!

The call ended and Krizza just continued crying. Young Hyun just sat there beside her unable to answer her questions or give her any words of comfort. All he could do was take out his peace offering and hold it out to her when she calmed down a bit.

"What's that?" She asked, staring at the small rectangular box.

"I don't know what I can do to make you feel better, but at least let me apologize again for my mistake the last time," he said. "Here, take this as my peace offering."

He thought she would not accept it, but she did. And he was just so glad because of it. He had no idea how to comfort her, but he wished it would be enough to lift up her mood somehow.
