Chapter 24

Cato

I run back into the mall to a sports store.

I go up to the counter.

“Hi, my name is Cato Handley, I ordered a specially made jersey.”

“Ah yes, here it is!”

The woman at the cashier hands me a bag with a jersey in it.

I run back to the car but first get a can of coke from a vending machine to make it look like I was just getting coke.

I come into my car and I'm in the backseat.

“Took you long enough!” Marv says in a jokingly way. “Just for a can of coke.”

“Lemme guess you were flirting with Glimmer during that time!”

They both have blush screaming on their faces.

“And... Why am I in the back of my own car?”

“So you don't kill us.” Glimmer says.

“Rude.”

We drive back and Peeta and Katniss go to a petrol/gas station so that buys us time to get everything to my room. They also needed petrol/gas.

Once everything is done we go to the park where we meet up with the others.

“Hi guys.” Someone says in a good mood. It was Annie.

“Hi, Annie you seem in a good mood.” Clove says.

“Yep.”

“And why?” Katniss asks.

“Finnick and I had a race in the pool and whoever lost had to buy the winner ice-cream and I won.”

“So... Is Finnick getting the ice-cream now.”

“Yeah. There was a big queue so he told me to find a spot.”

I take out my phone.

Text Conversation

Hey Finnick

What?

Can you get me an ice-cream? I'll pay you back

Fine. Which flavor?

Mint Chocolate chip.

Fine

End of conversation

Cato (still)

Hehe.

Soon Finnick comes up with three ice-creams in his hands. 

He gives one to Annie (A vannilla with sprinkles) and gives one to me (Mint Chocolate chip).

“Hey , why does he get one?!” Marv asks.

“He's paying me. It's $4.”

“Thats dear.” I say giving him $4.

When we finish our ice-creams we get bored.

“Why don't we have a singing battle.” Katniss asks.
