Paris Mitchell's POV.
"So where to first?" Ian asked from beside me. Margot and Charlie got the backseat while Jade, Ian and I are on the middle. Shane, currently driving.
"Ask the rebel up front." Jade said while popping her gum and looking out the window.
"First off, I'm not a rebel. I'm just.. exploring. And second, I'm sorry, okay? For dragging you all into this." Shane answered.
Right. Exploring. Well then good luck about that, Dora.
Ian and I exchanged looks. "It's fine, man." Charlie said.
"Yeah, Jade is just in a sour mood." I said, trying to calm the tension. Jade still isn't alright with this plan but we know she'll come around sooner or later.
"Don't encourage him." Jade snarled. I sighed and shook my head.
"Like Charles said, it's fine, Shane." I said.
He beamed. "Then let's get started on this roadtrip!"
I felt Ian's hand on the side of my head and he gently pushed it to his shoulder. "I suggest you rest first, Paris. You're in for a long ride." he whispered. I gave him a small smile as I relaxed onto his shoulder.
He's right.

"Shane, are you sure you're not just kidnapping us?" Margot asked.
Shane looked at her through the rearview mirror and looked back at the highway. "Of course not. Why do you think that?"
"I'm pretty sure he's kidnapping us." Jade commented.
"Is she on her period?" Charlie asked and I saw Margot elbow him in the ribs.
Jade growled at him and found something in her bag to throw.
Which was, well, a tampon.
"Did you get your answer, babe?" Margot asked with a smirk.
Charlie glared at her then at Jade. "Am I supposed to bring this back to you?"
"Shut up, you twat." Jade hissed and put on her headphones.
"Seriously though, we've been on the road for almost 4 hours. Where are we going?" Margot asked.
"That's why it's called a road trip. Duh." Shane said.
Ian got comfortable on my lap and I glared at him. "Why is your head on my lap?"
"What? You're head was on my shoulder a while ago and I can't lie down on your lap?" He stated, feigning hurt.
I glared at him. He has a point. "Chill, love birds." Shane teased.
Ian winked at me. "So we're lovebirds now." He said looking up at me with a cheeky smile.
"Oh shut up and sleep." I said putting my hand on his eyes but his smile was still intact.
"Aww Paris. Stop looking at my lips." Ian said and pouted.
My eyes widened as I felt heat rush up to my cheeks and went to bury my face on, well, on his chest. I felt his chest vibrate as he laughed which made my cheeks burn more.
"I smell chemistry!" Shane exclaimed and I groaned.
"No." Jade sniffed and I lifted my head to see her removing her headphones. "I smell gas. Or smoke."
Ian quickly sat up resulting in bumping his head on mine. "Thanks for the heads up." I groaned clutching my forehead.
"That's actually a good pun if my head wasn't pounding." He said, elbows on his knees and head on both hands.
"What did you do, Shane?" Charlie accused while patting Ian on the shoulder to get out. "Dude, move. I'm going to see what happened."
"I didn't do anything, I swear." Shane said putting his hands up and went out of the car as well.
Ian stepped out of the car to let Charlie out still holding on his head. "Oh don't be such a girl, Ian." Jade rolled her eyes and stepped over me to get out too.
"She basically head banged me!" Ian cried. Charlie held out a hand and I went to reach it but he moved his hand to touch Margot's.
"Sorry, gal. Jealous girlfriend over here." Margot smiled and I cursed at her. Ian held his hand out for me and I grudgingly took it.
"For your information, you head banged me. You are the one who sat up!" I argued.
"Stop being pussies and help over here!" Shane called.
We walked over the front of the car and saw the hood smoking. "What happened?" I asked.
"I don't know. I'm not a mechanic. I'm not good at these." Shane said.
"What? You're a guy-"
"And you're a girl. Stop being sexist and mind your boyfriend." he retorted and they all looked down.
Ian and I exchanged looks and followed their gaze.
To our joined hands.
We quickly let go of each other and I coughed while he cleared his throat.
"Talk about awkward." Margot muttered.
"So... we need help for Shane's van. Get comfy everyone. I'm guessing we'll be in this road for a long while." Charlie said.
"Great. Just great." I murmured.
"Great job, Shane." Jade clapped sarcastically.
Ian sighed as he flopped down on the grass on the side of the road. He patted the spot next to him and I sat with a sigh of my own. "Do you think we'll be here for long? It's getting dark already." I asked.
"Well, Shane and Charles knows a lot of people so I'm guessing not long. You tired?" he asked.
"No." I answered.
"Well, I am because I didn't get to nap earlier. So.." he said and started to lie his head on my lap again. He stretched his legs, wriggled and got comfortable until he was facing me with a huge grin.
"And... we're back to square one." I muttered looking at the sky with my eyes closed.
