Paris’ POV.
We were having a great time eating breakfast the next day until Shane sat down at our table and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I froze while drinking my lemonade and was relieved I didn't spit it out. We all looked at him while I wipe my mouth clean as he sat down.
"So what caused your giddiness? It's making my head hurt." Jade rolled her eyes.
"I see we're back to the grumpy Jade. To be honest, I prefer the happy Jade yesterday." Shane said still with a hint of a grin.
I cleared my throat. "So why did you kiss me?"
"Because you, Paris Mitchell, are my little fairy godmother." He grinned before taking a huge bite in his pancake.
"I don't know what I'm offended about. About you calling me little — which I am clearly not — or about you referring me to a century old, fat grandma that has a squeaky voice and her favorite line being bibitty bobbity boo." I pointed out shaking my head.
"And what caused your little epiphany to suddenly praise our little Paris?" Ian asked completely ignoring me.
I huffed. "I am really offended by your choice of adjectives. Really."
"Because our tiny little fairy over here has given me an idea on how to get a girl's attention." Shane smirked.
"Tiny? Little? I am not short!" I shrieked.
"And that idea sponsored by our atomic friend is?" Charlie asked.
"Oh don't play the big-word-card with me, Charlie. I know atomic means short. I swear you guys are having fun insulting me, aren't you?" I spat. And yet again, I was ignored. Am I that miniscule that they can't hear me? Oh my god. I hope not.
"Instead of using pick up lines, I would use lines from books." Shane stated proudly.
Jade stares at him. "You do know that's kind of plagiarism or something."
"How about you just wing it? Girls like spontaneous guys. No one wants a scripted meeting." Margot suggested and we all nodded. Even me who forgot that I was teased just seconds ago.
"I guess that could work too." Shane shrugged.
"But thanks anyway my little fairy." He winked.
Here we go again.

6 numbers, 3 winks and a bunch of flirty smiles later, Shane can't stop smirking but Jade was already whining.
"Oh don't be so smug." she hissed at Shane. "I don't care if I get arrested for cannibalism but if we don't stop for food. I will eat you."
"You are just jealous because girls like me whereas you, my friend, girls and boys alike, they don't like you." Shane put his tongue out.
Jade growled and lunged for Shane but even before she clawed him, Ian and Charlie got a hold of her. "That's it. We're going to eat, alright." Charlie declared.
"Let go of me." Jade said and fixed her hair. "Do you know how long I fix my hair during the mornings?"
"Who cares about your stupid hair." Shane mutters.
"I should ask the same about you and your stupid obsession with the love of your life. If I didn't know, you must be gay." Jade spat out.
"Enough. We're going to eat already." I said and started to lead the way.
"Oh thank god." Jade muttered while keeping up with my strides. "That's why you're my best friend. You understand me. Now, can we go to the same café yesterday? They have great brownies."
