GRANTED BY A FAIRY

One day I spoke to a fairy,

I wished I had someone to marry.

I knew it was pretty easy.

Unlike some who ask for plenty.

But days have passed, nothing happened

I was worried that she hadn’t listened

Maybe I should have my wish lessened

Or Maybe I’ll have him this weekend?

Pretty sure, I was waiting,

Waiting for nothing, sure it’s a thing!

Or maybe I should go for positive thinking

That all I have waited is right into coming

And here I am getting excited

All time waiting never wasted

But maybe she forgot me listed

Or I should have wished on a genie instead?

Sure I was, pretty tired

My waiting has passed, truly expired !

Way back then I was inspired

I should’ve got that fairy hired.

But then suddenly that fairy came to thee

She told me to go out and see.

I was in shock when I had to get ready

Finally, with the guy who’d like to marry me.
