When I step out of my car and walk towards the campus I stop in my tracks when I spot Alec leaning against the bench alongside his douche friends. I mentally kick myself for parking so close to his car. Now there's no way I can avoid him.

I turn around, quickly walking towards the opposite direction and keep up my pace once I hear him calling my name. Unfortunately he catches up to me and I have no choice but to confront him.

"Leila, listen just give me a reason here. You haven't been answering my texts. I just want to know what I did wrong." He pleads, pathetically standing in front of me. I take a deep breath and try to think of a good enough excuse for him to back off.

"I'm gay." I lie, and he smirks. Typical dick move.

"That's not a problem for me"-

"I said gay not bi, Alec." I snap.

"Then what the hell were we doing for two weeks together? You're telling me you were faking it the whole time I fucked you?" He scoffs, not believing me one bit.

"I'm saying what we had was great while it lasted, but now it's over and the sooner you forget about me, the better." I let out a sigh.
He shoves his hands in his pockets.

"You can't expect me to do that- after all we've been through?" He frowns and I furrow my brows.

Are you fucking kidding me?
I wish I thought twice before letting him fuck me.

" I don't know, figure it out." Is all I say before I storm past him annoyedly.

As I walk into psych I smile as James glances up at me from his textbook. I make my way towards him as a couple of students begin to take their seats.

"Leila," He acknowledges me, still pissed about yesterday when I left him high and dry in his bed. I got my punishment the second I untied him, not to say I'm complaining. I'm still sore from it.

"Professor," I grin. "Can I ask you a favor?" I sah lowly and he nods telling me to go on.

"I need you to change my seat, preferably somewhere far from Alec." I tell him and his jaw clenches at the mention of him.

"Is he bothering you?" He asks, and I sigh.

"No, he's just getting real annoying lately."

"If he is, you can tell me. I'll handle it." He says slowly and I giggle.

"I know you will baby, just like you handled Trevor. But don't worry I'm fine." I whisper and he clears his throat and nods before pointing to the front row.

"How's that one?" He asks.

"Perfect." I sigh, before walking away and sitting down in my new seat. When I hear Alec's voice enter the classroom I don't dare turn around and start taking my notes.

As the class comes to an end, I don't spot Alec anywhere and assume that he bolted as soon as the bell rang. James calls my name and tells me he has the test I retook graded in his office, and I take the hint before following him down the hall.

Once we're inside he reaches behind his desk and hands me rectangular box with a tiny bow on it.

"What's this?" I ask curiously.

"Open it," he nods with a smile and I chuckle. I lift the top to realize it's a thin sparkly diamond necklace that looks very expensive. The choice is perfect, he knows me so well. My mouth drops open and I stare at him not knowing what to say.

"Happy Birthday." He grins and I blush.

"How'd you know?" I ask him.

I don't like to make a big deal of my birthdays because I've never really celebrated them. They're only special because you spend them with family and friends, but when you grow up in the fucked up foster care system like I did- they don't seem to matter.

"I took a little look at your paperwork in the college system." He shrugs and I smile bigger than I probably have in my whole life. This means more than he could ever realize. He takes the delicate necklace from my fingers and moves my hair to the side to put it on me. It feels cool and refreshing on my skin, as does his touch.

I don't know what comes over me in that second but as soon as I turn around I grab his face in my hands and kiss him so deep that I never want to pull away. His hands run through my hair as he slides his tongue inside my mouth. The both of us pull away abruptly when we hear a thump sound echo from behind us. I realize the door was slightly creaked open and step outside to glance down the hallway. No one seems to be there so I turn back around and don't think much of it.
