Dan's POV

She likes me. I can't believe it! What was I so nervous about?

"Phil!" I call out.

"Still in my room!" He replies.

I run into his room without knocking. He's still on his laptop, this time editing a video.

"How did it go?" He asks, closing his laptop.

"She likes me, too," I say, excitedly. "She wants to stay, Phil. She likes me back!"

Phil laughs. "That's great, Dan! So, she's going to stay here?"

I nod. "I'll sleep on the sofa, she can take my room. We're going to go get her luggage from the hotel and come back here. I just can't believe this..."

"I'm happy for you two. So, when are we leaving?"

"Whenever she wants to. Do you want to come with us?"

"Sure, why not."

I smiled at him. "I'll tell you when we're ready."

I walk out of his room and shut the door. I'm not sure what to do with myself while I waited, so I decided to go through twitter. I logged on and started to scroll through my timeline. My fans are the best. I click create new tweet and type, 'I love making new friends' and click tweet. I log out, close my laptop, and smile to myself. I'm so glad I met Lucy.

Lucy's POV

My phone lights up with a notification. I pick it up. It's a tweet from Dan. I unlock my phone to view it. 'I love making new friends'. I smile, then favorite and retweet it. He's so sweet. I put my phone down and continue to fix my hair. It's still slightly wet, so I can't do much to it, but I shake it out anyways. I try to make myself look slightly appealing for Dan, despite the fact that I have no makeup. I fix my clothes, grab my phone, and walk out. What am I going to say to Dan? Do I hold his hand? Do I make the first move, or do I wait for him? I have no idea what to do, I don't want to mess things up. I decide just to walk out like I have the past few days and act normal.

"Hey," Dan says when he sees me. "You ready?"

"Sure," I reply. "Is Phil coming too?"

"Yeah, I'll go get him," he says, getting off the couch and walking towards Phil's room. I walk into the kitchen and grab an apple. My stomach is slightly rumbling, and I need some sort of food. I bite into it and start to daydream. Dan likes me. He wants me to stay with him. This is the best vacation yet.

.

After we picked up my things, Dan and Phil decided to pick up lunch. They ordered Nando's and brought it back to their flat. Dan chose Nando's after I told him that I've never eaten there.

"Thank you so much, guys," I thanked him after we ate. "It was delicious."

"No problem," Phil replied.

"You've really never had it before today?" Dan asked me.

"There are barely any in America! They don't have any in California. At least none that I know of."

"That's too bad. So many people missing out on the joy that is Nando's chicken." Dan said, shaking his head.

"Well, there's also no In N Out. You people are missing out big time," I countered. Dan lifted his hands in surrender, and I giggled.

"So, now what?" I asked.

"Well, Phil and I have to film a new video. We were thinking of making a gaming channel, so we were going to film the first episode."

"Sounds cool! I can watch."

"Great! Phil, let's go." Dan stood and pointed towards the lounge. I followed them in. Dan set up the camera while Phil started up the game. They were playing Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze on the Wii U. I reminded myself that they were filming a video, and I couldn't talk or laugh. It was hard, but I resisted. I slipped up one or two times, but they said they could edit it out. I couldn't help myself- they were hilarious!

After filming, they plugged the camera into their computer and downloaded the footage. They did a bit of editing before we ate dinner. Dan made spaghetti with garlic bread. It was delicious.

After dinner, Phil decided to go finish editing the gaming video they filmed earlier, so that left Dan and I. It was a bit awkward. We weren't sure what to do. I know we like each other, but I don't know where that puts us. Were we together? What do we do if we are? Where do we go from this?

"What do you-" I start to say just as Dan says, "Do you want-". We both laugh, and I say, "You first."

"Okay, do you maybe, uh, want to go to Shake Away with me? I've been craving it, and Phil doesn't want it, so..."

"Dan, are you asking me on a date?" I asked tauntingly. His face flushed a little, and he crammed his hands into his pockets.

"No, I mean, yes, or... Do you want it to be a date? Because it can, if you want, but if it's too soon, I understand. Just as long as-"

"Dan!" I interrupt him. "Don't worry, I'm not upset. I would love to go on a date with you."

"Really?" His face brightened. He smiled, dimples and everything. "Great! Well, it's a bit chilly outside, so I'll go get your coat." He ran off before I could say thank you. I can't believe how nervous he was! He's really cute when he's nervous.

He came back less than a minute later, my coat in hand. "Thank you, Daniel." I said. I reached out to take it, but he shook his head.

"Turn around," he instructed me.

"That's what he said," I replied, but gave in. I heard him chuckle before he slid my jacket on himself. "Thank you. You're a real gentleman." His cheeks flushed.

"Shall we?" He said. I nodded and we left.

.

We got home an hour later. Dan insisted that I get something with Malteasers, as I'd never had them before.

"They aren't sold in America!" I had argued.

"Well, then that's a crime. Malteasers are the greatest sweet of all time!"

We laughed and talked more before deciding to go home. Phil was asleep, and neither of us were tired, so we agreed to pick out a movie. The way Dan said 'film' made my heart melt. He chose Shaun of the Dead. I wasn't exactly fond of the movie, but Dan seemed excited about it, so I let him put it on. I didn't understand some of it- it was filled with British humor. We were sat on the couch next to each other, but halfway through, Dan managed to work his arm around my shoulder. I was getting tired so I leaned into him. He wrapped his arm tighter around me. I looked up at him, and he looked down to make sure it was okay. I smiled, and so did he. He went back to watching the move, and I cuddled in more. I could barely keep my eyes open, and before I knew it, I was asleep.
