Lucy's POV
.
I woke up that morning on the sofa cuddled up next to a sleeping Dan. It was early, about 6, but I wasn't tired. Phil wasn't awake, either, so I decided to go for a run. I pulled up my hair, put on my workout clothes and running shoes, grabbed my earbuds, and went out the door. I put in my earbuds and hit play as I began to jog. It feels great to run again after missing out the past week.
I run a few miles, at least, before stopping at a Starbucks for a coffee. I sit there and relax, watching people walk by. I think about what happened last night, with Phil. I think about how worried Dan was. It hurt me to see him like that. I always knew they were close, but they are so much closer off camera. I start to wonder what he's doing right now, so I finish my coffee and start to jog back.
It feels like I've run farther than I had earlier, so I stop and look around. This doesn't look very familiar. I consider calling Dan, but I decide against it. I don't want to wake him up. So I turn around and try retracing my steps. It didn't work, now I'm even more lost. I pull out my phone to call Dan, but I have no service. "Damnit," I mutter under my breath. I run up to someone to ask for directions, but they just give me a strange look and walk away. I decide to try to find the same Starbucks I was at, I had service there. I walk around, occasionally checking my phone for service. Finally, I get one bar. I dial Dan and he picks up on the second ring.
"Lucy, where are you? I've been trying to call, but it goes straight to voicemail. I looked all over, but you aren't here. When did you leave? Where did you go? Are you okay?" He rambles.
"Dan, relax. I'm fine. I just went for a run," I assure him. "I just have a minor problem."
"Okay...?" He seems a bit tense, and I remind myself to apologize to him thirty times.
"I made a wrong turn on the way back, so I tried retracing my steps, and now I'm lost." I kick a rock on the ground as he sighs.
"Where are you?"
I look around, but there is no sign of where I could be. "I have no clue."
"Okay, describe it to me." I do, but not very well. "I know where that is. Stay there, I'll come get you."
"Okay, thank you Dan." I hang up with him and find a bench to sit on as I wait. I pull out my phone and play Crossy Road. Phil got me into it and now I can't stop playing it. I make it to 267 before I get trapped between two cars. "No!" I groan and lock my phone. Just then, I see Dan coming. I stand up and run to him, embracing him once I reach him. He giggles and I pull away. I stand on my toes and peck his lips.
"My hero!" I joke around. He flexes his muscles and I poke his stomach. He laughs and wraps an arm around my shoulders.
"Come on, let's head back."

Dan's POV
.
"You found her!" Phil says when we walk in the door.
"I got lost on my run," she defends.
"You should have woken us, you know we're trying to take up running now." Phil points out.
"It was early, I didn't want to disturb you two."
Phil smiles and says, "That's quite a girl you got there, Dan."
I lace out fingers together and look down at her. Her cheeks are slightly red. "I know." She looks up at me, and I lean down and kiss her.
"You two are cute, but no PDA!" Phil says, and I deepen the kiss just to tease him. He throws a pillow at my head, and I pull away laughing. "Alright, alright." I give in. Phil walks away triumphantly, and I kiss Lucy one more time before following him.
