Dan's POV
.
I was sat on my bed scrolling through the comments on my video with Lucy. She was laying on her back with her head in my lap, her feet hanging off the edge. She was nervously playing with the hem of my shirt, waiting to hear about the comments. She didn't want to read them yet, so I was reading for her. There were a few that were negative, but most of them were very supportive. I replied to a few before getting her attention.
"Luce?"
"Yeah," she almost whispered. She didn't look up at me, so I pushed my laptop aside. I turned her face so she was looking at me, but her eyes continued to wander.
"Lucy, look at me." she closed her eyes, swallowed, then opened her eyes. She stared straight into mine, and I couldn't help but smile at her beautiful brown eyes. "Do you want to hear what they said?"
She took a deep breath before answering. "Y-yes."
"Hey," I found her hand and laced my fingers between hers. "Don't be nervous."
"But what if they don't like me? What if they don't think I'm good enough for you? What if I'm not good enough for you?" She choked out the last part. I squeezed her hand.
"Lucy, if you weren't good enough for me, I wouldn't be your boyfriend." I squeezed her hand again, and a small smile appeared on her face. "Ready?"
"Okay. What are they saying?"
"They're happy. They have been so supportive. In fact, they want us to do the girlfriend tag."
"Are you serious?" Her smile grew, and I nodded. "That's great!"
"Do you want to?"
"Want to what?" She closed her eyes as I started to run my fingers through her hair.
"Do the girlfriend tag, obviously."
She giggled and I kissed her forehead. She look into my eyes.
"That sounds like fun. I'd love to do the girlfriend tag with you, Dan." I leaned down and kissed her, softly. She smiled into the kiss, and when I pulled away, she was still smiling.
We sat there for a moment, just like that. Her head in my lap, just looking at each other. She's so beautiful, I can't believe she's mine. We sat in silence until we heard Phil yell, followed my a crash in the kitchen. Lucy sat up and I jumped off the bed, running into the kitchen. "Phil?" I yelled. "Phiiiil?" I reached the kitchen to see Phil lying on the floor surrounded by pans. "PHIL!"
.
"I was just trying to get a pan down, but I'm not as tall as you, Dan, so I tried to get on the counter, but I slipped and pulled them all down. I'm sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."
Phil was laying on the sofa, an ice bag on his head, explaining what happened. I was sat on the floor next to him, while Lucy was on the end of the sofa near Phil's feet.
"I don't care that you scared me, Phil. I just want to know that you're alright." I was worried sick about him.
"I'm fine, Dan. I'll be okay."
"You're sure you don't want to go to the doctor?" Lucy asked.
"Yes, thank you. I just need to lay down."
"Okay, we'll leave you alone." Lucy started to get up, and I followed. "Oh, Phil?" He turned his head to face Lucy. "Don't get into any trouble while we're gone."
"I guess I could say the same to you," Phil directed the statement towards me and winked. I flipped him off and Phil chuckled as I pulled Lucy out of the room.
.
"Dan?"
"Yeah, Lucy?"
"Are you alright?"
Phil moved to his room, so Lucy and I had the sofa to ourselves. We were playing Mario Kart, and Lucy was winning.
"Yes- oh god damnit, I hate bananas! Why wouldn't I be fine?"
"Everything with Phil- take that! You seemed pretty worried. Just want to make sure you're okay- Hey!"
I smirked to myself. I hit Lucy with a red shell and passed her up.
"Oooooohh who's gonna win now?" I taunted.
"That's what you think!" She shouted before throwing a red shell and passing me just in time to cross the finish line before me.
"YES!" She jumped off the couch and threw her arms in the air in victory. "I beat you, I beat you, I beat you." she chanted as she did a little dance.
"Damnit!" I huffed.
"Oh, don't be sad, you can't beat the queen of Mario Kart." she pinched my cheeks and giggled before I pulled her into a kiss. "Hey!" She pulled away. "You still haven't answered my question."
"What question?" I asked and pulled her onto my lap, kissing her again. She put her hand on my chest and pushed me off.
"Dan, stop. I just want to know that you're okay after what happened to Phil."
I sighed. "I was terrified. Phil is my best friend. Probably the only best friend I've had in my life. It was awful to think that something could have happened to him." I lowered my head to break eye contact. I didn't want her to see my eyes tear up slightly.
"Hey, Dan," she pulled my head up to meet her gaze. "It's okay to be scared. I know what it's like. The important thing is that now he's okay, nothing bad happened. Okay?" I nodded, afraid that if I tried to answer her, I would burst into tears. "Good. Now come here." she pulled me into another kiss.

HI GUYS!! So so so so so sorry I haven't updated, I've been super busy recently. But hey, IM BACK!
I would just like to describe what I mean by the pans falling on Phil, I picture a pan rack about their counter with the pans hanging down. I know their kitchen isn't actually like that, but that's how I made it for the story.
I really hope you guys enjoyed this chapter. If you did, be sure to vote and also please comment. I would love to hear feedback from you all :)
Thank you so much for reading!
