*Kaylee's POV*

"Hey, babe," I say, walking towards Jason, who is on the couch messing around on his phone. He barely spares me a glance.

"So, do you have any plans today?" I ask him casually.

"Nope."

"Oh, well I'm going to be out all day..." I say, hoping for an objection.

"Yeah? Have fun," he says, barely any enthusiasm in his voice.

"'Kay..."

My best friend, Lindsey, walks into our apartment right then, and she didn't even knock.

"Hey," she says happily, plopping down on the couch.

"Thanks for knocking," I say sarcastically.

"Oh, yeah, no problem," she replies just as sarcastically. "Ready to go?" she asks.

"Yeah, let me grab my purse."

"I don't think he remembers," I complain to Lindsey.

Today in mine and Jason's two year anniversary. I know a lot of guys don't remember this kind of thing, but it's two years! And, he remembered last years.

Lindsey rolls her eyes at me as we walk into a little diner close by the mall, where we just went shopping.

I bought Jason this really nice watch. On the back of the face of the watch, I had, I will always have time for you ~Love Kaylee, engraved into it.

I also have another little surprise for him, but that can wait until later. I went all out this year.

"Don't worry about it. He'll hate that he forgot when he sees how stunning you look in your new dress," Lindsey replies, holding up a bag with a new dress in it.

It is a tight fitting, silk, black dress with laces sleeves that go down to my elbows. It is a gorgeous dress, and with some convincing from Lindsey, I look good in it.

"Jeez, I'm starving. They have so many options here," Lindsey comments.

"Off to my place!" Lindsey shouts in her car as we start to drive off.

I laugh at her silliness and turn up the radio. Latch by Sam Smith plays throughout the car and time flies by as we head to Lindsey's apartment. We arrive there in no time.

Here at Lindsey's is where we make my look my best, putting on some light make up, then I put on my dress, which goes down to about mid-thigh on me, and last of all, we put my strawberry blond hair into bouncy curls.

"He is going to die when he sees you!" Lindsey cheers clapping. "I did such an amazing job!"

"Yes, thank you," I say adding an eye roll.

"Lets get you to him!" she says. I grab my bag and Jason's two presents, and head out the door to Lindsey's car.

"He's going to wish he hadn't forgot this. Trust me. And, don't sweat about it because guys always forget."

"Okay, let's do this."

"You're the one doing this sweetheart."

"Right."

I pull out my phone and text Jason.

Be home in fifteen :)

I look at the time and see that it is a quarter past six.
