*Becca's POV*

Eek! It's mine and Mitch's third anniversary. He has something planned, but I'm not sure what.

I wish he'd tell me. But, no! He's too stubborn. Oh, well. I kind of like surprises. They're exciting.

The movie I was watching, The Lion King, just ended and I check the time on my phone. It was only 5:04. I had an hour until someone would pick me up.

Mitch said either Mat or Rob would take me to wherever he would be waiting.

I guess I should get ready...

I get up of the couch and run up the stairs. I grab a towel and jump in the shower. Within fifteen minutes I'm out with the towel wrapped around me.

I rush into my room and throw on a bra and panties. I find the outfit I bought for this occasion--a pale pink dress with polka dots all over it. Below the waist are three ruffles.

I slip on a pair of tan one-inch heels and a creme half-sleeve sweater.

I head back into the bathroom to find the mirror un-fogged. I crimp my hair and leave it down an draped across both of my shoulders. I apply eyeliner and mascara.

I kept it casual but cute because I had no clue what we were going to do. I also didn't want to be over dressed or underdressed.

I walk back into my room and grab my light pink clutch. I put in some lipgloss, after applying it, and a twenty dollar bill.

I walk back down the stairs when I hear a knock on the door. I open it and find Mat staring right back at me.

"Hey," I say. "Guess I finished getting ready just in time."

"Yeah you did. You look great. Mitch will love it."

"Any chance you'd tell me what we are doing?" I ask as we walk to the car.

"Nope," he replies opening the door for me. I nod my head in thanks.

When he gets in and starts the car, I continue the conversation. "I figured you wouldn't budge." I grinned at him.

"Your right. It won't be easy to get me to crack." I laugh.

Mat stops the car, but I can't tell where we are. He parked somewhere away from where the date is.

The car door opens on my side startling me because Mat is still in the car. I turn my head and find Mitch.

"Hey, baby girl," he says and helps me out of the car. He flicks something at Mat, but I can't tell what it is. "Thanks Mat."

He grabs my hand an we begin walking. "You look beautiful," he says staring conversation.

"You look good as well," I reply squeezing his hand.

"Really?"

"Yeah. I don't wanna keep my eyes off of you." I look up at him and smile. He stops and looks at me.

"This better?" I look at him and nod.

"Much." I lean my head up and kiss him. Somehow, even with heels on, he's still a little bit taller than me. Oh, well.

He pulls back and continues leading me to wherever we are going.

We arrive at a clearing after ten minutes of walking, talking, laughing, and kissing.

The clearing is lit up by little lanterns. There is a soft flowing stream in front of us. The clearing is surrounded by a stream. In the middle of the clearing is a blanket with two plates and a basket.

"Wow," I whisper. "This is...amazing, Mitch."

"One more thing before we start." I look at him with confusion written all over my face.

"Becca, I have loved you since the moment I saw you, it just took some time to figure it out. I remember you were a friend of Mat's. I saw you two together and, honestly, felt a little jealous. I wanted to be him.

"I wanted to be the one you came to for help, or when you needed cheering up. Most of all, I wanted you to be mine. I still do. That's why," he says getting down on one knee. "I want you to marry me. Becca, will you do me the world by marrying me?"

"Yes!" I say. He slips the ring on my finger and kisses me. He picks me up amidst the kiss and spins around. "I love you," I say.

"I love you too, baby girl."
