Azurite and Mitch (BajanCanadian)

*Azurite's POV*

I go up to the counter, in Starbucks, to order my pumpkin spice latte. I was feeling like a pumpkin spice latte since it was close to Christmas. It was the twentieth (of December of course :p).

I pay for it and wait for my order. It was ready in a matter of minutes.

I grab it off the counter and head towards the door. On my way out, I grab some napkins, just in case my drink spilled in my car.

I open the door and turn the corner. I ran into someone and the coffee spilled all over the both of us.

"I'm so sorry!" I say rather quickly.

This was embarrassing.

"It's fine," he tells me.

I still felt bad. He was wearing a white shirt.

"Your shirt though..." I say kind of quiet.

"I have an extra in my car. I have a whole new outfit if needed. Multiple actually. I'm visiting New Jersey because my best friend lives here."

"Oh. Where are you from then?"

"Montreal, Canada," he told me.

"Oh. Well here," I say handing him some napkins.

"Thanks," he says and takes them.

"Well bye," I say and give him a small wave.

"Wait, I never caught your name."

"Azurite," I say and smile.

"Mitch. Hope to see you around," he says and waves to me.

I wave once again.

I get in the car and just sit there for a while.

He looked really familiar. Where have I seen him though?

I start up my car and get driving.

As soon as I walk into the apartment I share with my best friend April, she grabs my arm and starts pulling me back outside.

"What are we doing?" I ask her.

"Leaving."

"I just got back. Where are we going exactly?"

"The mall."

"Why?"

"Because there is a meet up with Jerome and all his friends!" she shouts excitedly.

"Oh. Who all with be there?"

"Jerome, Adam, Jason, Ian, Ty, and Mitch," she answers.

While she was telling me this, she was dragging me to the car.

Subconsciously, I open the door and slide into the passenger seat and put my seatbelt on.

"We will finally be able to meet them! Oh, this is so exciting! I can't believe...."

April kept rambling on in on while I got lost in my thoughts.

My eyes widen.

"You look like you've seen a ghost. What's wrong?"

"I-I've met Mitch."

"When?!"

"This morning. I just didn't realize it was him."

She says nothing until we arrive at the mall. When she pulls into a parking space, she stops the car.

She turns to look at me and stares at me for a minutes.

Suddenly, she grabs my sholders and starts shaking me.

"HOW COULD YOU NOT KNOW IT WAS HIM!!??" she shouts at me.

When she stops shaking me, I look at her like she's crazy.

"I don't know. Let"s just go."

I open the car door and start heading towards the mall's entrance.

We start walking towards the center of the mall, where Jerome's tweet said theey would be.

When we see them, April squeals in excitement.

There were a lot of people here.

There wasn't any sort of line; you just stood there while they walked around saying hi to everyone.

April handed me her signed piece of paper so that she could use the restroom.

Someone almost ran into me. I was able to dodge them, only to run into someone else.

"I'm sorry," I say and turn around.

The person I ran into was Mitch.

"Twice in one day. That is surely not very likely."

"Maybe the universe is trying to say something," I say and laugh.

"Yeah maybe. Maybe we should do as the universe would like."

"How so?"

"Go on a date with me?" he asks.

I try not to freak out. I mean, it's not like I've had a 'crush' on him for a year or two.

"Sure," I say in reply.

"Great."

"Here's my number." I say and hand him a peice of paper that I ripped off April's sighned piece of paper.

"Oh my gosh. Will you sign this?" April says running up to Mitch. She rips the piece of paper out of my hands and hands it to Mitch.

He signs it without a second thought.

"Wait, why is it torn?" she asks confused.

"I'll fill you in later." I say.

Mitch give out a small chuckle.

"Well, bye for now." I say and pull April towards the exit.

My phone rang.

I was a text from an unknown number.

'Bye for now. ;)' it read.

I smile and turn around to see Mitch give a small wave, which I return.
