JUNHEE'S POV
When I met her.
I was still in college 19 years old on my third semester. I was walking to the library when I saw her. A pretty girl holding a lot of books in her hands, so I reached out to helped her. Her name Yuna. Soon enough she kept meeting me at the library, and came to like one another after I kissed her one night I took her out for dinner. I broke up with my current girlfriend and so we started dating.
She liked staying home, I liked going out. She liked warm days, I like cold. She hated musicals. I love them. She didn't like kids. I worked at a day care.
Many said that we were so different, my closest friends suggested that maybe she wasn't the right girl. And so I stop talking to them since they were against my "happiness".
Soon enough I found myself staying home, I quit my job and took one closer to her job. All because she would be my first stable girlfriend, she came from a wealthy respected family, my dad liked her and so I thought it was love.
"I'm pregnant" Yuna said one evening, we had being together for less than a year. My heart started racing like crazy and I stared jumping
"Yuna...I'm so happy.!!" and I hugged her. I should've notice she wasn't smiling. She wasn't.
Days went by and my father gave me his wedding proposal ring, since I wanted to marry her.
"What are we going to do? We don't have money?" Yuna said one evening.
"I'll quit college and look for a job...once the kid is older I can go back" I said with a small ache in my heart. Becoming an elementary teacher needed to wait.
My father stopped talking to me once I told him the news of me leaving college.
Months went by, she stopped going to college also, I insisted so she could rest. I started working on a construction company that paid a lot but I was barely home.
Then all the stress, long shifts at work, losing weight and pausing my dream. All those things became less important. Once I held Eunkyung in my arms. A small baby so fragile and delicate. So beautiful.
So our life as a family started. We were both just two kids raising another one. But I wanted this. So we both did as we thought was correctly
"I need to go back to school" Yuna said as I fed the baby coming back from work. Eunkyung was a two years old now. I stayed quiet not knowing what to reply, "she'll be fine in a take care center ,a friend of mine takes her baby there and I don't want to lose more time" she sounded so serious with her decision
"But we can't afford a day care" I said the baby laid on my chest to burp
"....so you just expect me to stayed home always....While you go and work, socialise and have a life...?!" She shouted.
"No Yuna, I also withdrawal from school and work all day to afford all the expenses" I said with a not friendly tone.
"I got a scholarship, so you just work overtime to paid for the rest....for once I am doing the things I want.!! We're engaged so you need to support me" She replied and I just nodded. I wouldn't stop her. And is true I needed to support her.
