The drive to the hospital is quiet and neither men speak much. Sehyoon doesn't know what to ask since both know almost the same.
Once they reach the main entrance both seat on the reception area, Jun turns around to all the places not knowing what or where to walk when at a sofa on the far corner he sees his boyfriend
"There he is.!" Jun points and both walk over him. Donghun is taken back to see Jun walk closer to him and he gets up and falls on his boyfriend's arms, that hold him tightly
"Jun...why...and Eunkyung?" Donghun asks him
"Chan stayed with her...I...why are you here?" Jun asks, his hands cup Donghun's cheeks and he looks at his eyes
"...my father is on a delicate state so I came here to see him" he replies
Jun pulls him closer and feels his heart ache for the pain in his boyfriend's eyes.
"Isn't this a private hospital, shouldn't you be with him?" Jun asks softly
Just then a nurse comes out and taps on Donghun's shoulder, he leaves Jun's arms but holds his hand. Sehyoon just stays a few feet back.
"Mr.Lee, your bother sent me here to get you...so you can come to the family waiting room with him" she says
"He'll come with me" Donghun says and the nurse nods.
"Wait Sehyoon...", Jun says and Donghun finally realises the other man
"Is fine...I'll go home to Chan, call us if anything happens...." Sehyoon says
"Thank you" Donghun and Jun reply at the same time and both follow the nurse.
Once they reach the waiting room on the third floor, Jun sees a familiar face
"Mr. Lee" and he bows
"Junhee...hey" he replies "did my little brother called you to be here?" He asks and Jun is surprise to hear this
"Brother?" Jun asks
"What? Why am I being a secret? Yes Jun, Donghun is my brother" and Jun turns around to see Donghun that can only nod
"Love, this is my brother that is also your boss....Jaehyun this is my boyfriend but you already know that..." he says and pulls Jun closer to him
"Wait he knew...how come you didn't tell me he's you brother" Jun asks and before he could reply, Jaehyun answers
"I ask him to not say anything until our father knew about it..." he says and Donghun looks at Jun with a sorrow look, "I'll let you talk, it seems there's a lot of questions"
And he goes to seat with an older woman that keeps looking out the window.
"I'm sorry" Donghun says and takes a seat, Jun seats besides him
"What's happening hyung?" Jun holds both his hyung's hands
"I...is a long story..."
"I'll listen..." Jun seats besides him and waits for the other to speak
"My father....he wanted me to be a lawyer so I study extra hard and earn a scholarship, so I went to law school for like two years...but then drop out to become a photographer" Donghun tells, his voice is quiet, "my father lost it and we got into a loud fight, he got so flustered his heart gave in and got almost a heart attack...he was rushed to the hospital" Donghun guilt lingers in his mind
"He never recovered he became fragile...while in the hospital, I try to see him and explain...but my mother told me to leave...and I got so angry I yelled so he'll die if I said I'm gay?! " my brother kicked me out and I left to Busan where I met my mentor that taught me photography, Mr. Cho, he's a kind man that took me in"
Donghun words choke on his throat. And Jun can't seem to come out with the right words to say. So he just places his arm around him and Donghun leans in, his head on his boyfriend's shoulder.
"So you're here to see him but scare he might get ill if both argue?" Jun says and Donghun nods, "I'll go with you, we'll talk to him and you'll say what's in your heart...if I see something out of control as an outsider I'll step in"
"You're not an outsider Junhee" Donghun assures him
"I know babe, we're family now, and I'll stay on your side...on the good or bad" Jun says and Donghun feels calmness in his heart.
The night crawls in and Junhee falls as sleep, his arms are wrap around his boyfriend. Donghun can't seem to close his eyes.
"Lee family..." a nurse calls and Donghun gently places Junhee on the couch and moves to stand besides his mother and brother, "he's awake and better now....but we're only allowing a short visit" and Donghun's mother points at him to go inside his dad's room
"One chance son" she says and Donghun steps up, just then a presence is behind him, Junhee that is holding his hand.
Both walk in and see the man resting on his bed, his eyes looking out of the window
"Son... so you're here" he says, his voice is quiet and rough
"Dad" and he bows, Junhee copies him "I'm...I'm sorry I haven't been here for you" he says his throat with a lump
"Don't lie" he says and Donghun is confuse, "the nurse has told me you come everyday at 3 to ask about my condition and asked them to put on the news for me on channel 5 because is my favorite news channel and to always give me grape juice since I hate all the other fruits..." he says and now his eyes look at his son
"But I mean this is the first time I've seen you eye to eye since I left....I'm sorry father" and Jun holds his hand tighter, a tear rolls down Donghun's eye
"We both fucked up son...but what I've realised all this time, that no one seems to know that the news on channel 5 is my favorite part of the day..." and he extends his hand. Jun lets go and pushes him to walk closer, "it took me two heart attacks to realised I missed my son and wish he'll stay a bit longer than just a five minute visit" Donghun wipes his tears and hugs him. Jun notices he has started to cry also
"I'll stay longer dad" he replies
After a quick hug, Mr.Lee looks up, "now who's this?"
Jun bows once again, "Mr. Lee, sir hi nice to meet you" he looks up, "my name is Park Junhee, I am an accountant at your firm, have a daughter and I'm currently dating your son...sir please if I could have your blessing" and he is so nervous his heart is racing so quick he bows once again
"Oh so he's your....boyfriend?" Mr. Lee asks a bit confuse
"Yes..." Donghun replies
"And what are your intentions with him?" The older man asks
"I truly care for him, and promise to always take care of him, respect him, love him and always hold his hand through stormy or sunny days" Junhee says and Donghun can't help but feel his heart flutter once again at this sweet promise
"I see...well there will be more time, now leave I'm tired" and he motions for them to leave the room
They both walk out, Donghun's mother just stares at them. A quick smile shows and just walks in the room without saying anything.
Jaehyun walks to them, "I'll be going home, my wife is waiting...so I'll see you later" and he walks out of the waiting room
"So that went ok..." Jun says
"I think it did..." Donghun replies he seats down and Jun cuddles next to him
"What you say back then...."
"Is true..." Jun says and Donghun grabs his chin, and kisses him.
"Let me promise you, that I'm here for you always...to protect you, love you and hold you Junhee, and that thank you for giving me back a place to belong..with you and Eun...you own my heart now..." and Jun kisses him once again, this time they keep the kiss longer
Their promise for one another staying in their hearts.
