I woke up that morning early so I could shower and get ready for the day. I carefully got to the door pulling it open.

The barred door Cassie had opened yesterday was unable to be pulled open. I looked around for a key to find a button that read:

Push to call nurse.

I was hesitant before I slammed the button in wait for assistance. It took only a few minutes for her to come.

"Glad you caught on, the barred doors are locked from 11:00 at night to 9:00 the next morning."

"So I have to push the button?" I said following her towards the elevator.

"Yes, it helps us nurses keep track of our patients whereabouts."

I nodded making my way to the fourth floor. I got into the empty bathrooms to see three showers and five stalls. I stood in front of the sink carefully brushing my teeth.

The bathroom was mirror less leaving it impossible to do much, so I simply took a quick shower returning to my quite room.

Life was slower here. Everyone tainted by the faults god bestowed upon them. It was impossible to stand out when everyone was exactly like you, broken.

"Trust me group therapy isn't so bad."

Chelsea reassured me as we stood in the elevator.

"You sure?" I asked not yet having breakfast.

"Look, once you get some of the best oatmeal ever in your stomach today will be ten times better." Chelsea said pressing the fourth floor botton repeatedly.

"Do you know any other people?" I asked feeling as if the metal walls were closing in.

"Tons. Naomi with bipolar disorder, Callie with anger management, Derek with social anxiety. Tons." She said with a smile.

"So is everyone like sick?" I whispered although we were alone. Still getting chills from the things I had witnessed.

She shrugged "Some are actually just victims of the society."

"Like me." I snapped watching as the doors opened. I cleared my head trying to distance myself. This wasn't home. I was going to leave by friday.

Their were only five rooms on the hall. One girl's shower room, one girl bathrooms, boy bathrooms, boy showers, and the dinning room.

"Payton one of the cooks will sometimes sneak brownies." Chelsea said ignoring our previous topic.

"Goody." I said nonchalantly.

I followed her into the dinning room to see kids sprawled out around the room eating a few talking. I looked to see a girl sitting alone complete lost.

"Come on." Chelsea said pulling me alone.

I grabbed a plastic chipped tray having the cooks throw shit onto my plate as if I was in jail.

"This is the oatmeal? " I said tears almost filling my eyes.

"It's tastier than it looks I swear."

"Some can say the same about monkey shit I'm not eating this." I said not caring for the cook standing inches in front of me.

The girl behind me in line looked at me with a smirk. "This a newbie Chels?"

"Shut up beast boy! This one isn't going to be your chew toy."

"Names Tori." The girl said ignoring Chelsea.

"Frankie." I said following Chelsea who left the line.
