The Story Of Jimmy Casket (Venturian Tale Fanfic!)

Chapter 4- To The Woods.

   I gazed out the window and counted the police cars. 1...2...5...8? I thought. Fear bubbled inside of me. The neighbors must of heard what happened last night. I'm not very surprised, after all our house is build near the very edge of our property. I looked around the room. Sally gave me a fearful look. I then knelled down to her height and said "Everything will be okay."

   She nodded but continued to stare fearfully at me. "What are going to do?" 

    I looked out the window and noticed the woods. Then I remember what our mom said..

  "Johnny, Promise me that you will never go into the woods." My mom said sternly while kneeling down and holding my shoulders.

  "Why?" little me couldn't help but ask.

   "Those woods are haunted. Even though it's the quickest way to the city, it's not safe!"

   "The quickest way to the city, huh?" I muttered to myself.

  "W-what?" Sally asked a bit dumbfounded.

  "The Forest." I said completely ignoring my moms warning. "We need to go there."

 "T-the F-forest?" She asked.

  I nodded. "The dark scary forest." she said as she shrunk into her stuffed animal. 

  I frowned. "Sense when have you've been scared of anything?"

  She looked up at me with a blank stare. "Do I really have to explain?"

  "Oh.." I said.

  "Well then follow my lead." 

     I grabbed my backpack and almost forgot my Journal. My Journal is where I write down paranormal thing that happen in  my life, like my dad. When my sister was first born she was deathly ill. My dad went into a deep depression. Before that he was a fun dad, he didn't drink, he didn't hurt us. He was a normal dad. But then he went on a walk. My prediction is that he went on a walk to the woods but when he came back he was different and my sister wasn't ill anymore. That's were I got the prediction that we have demon blood... it's not very solid evidence.. but still!

  I looked back to see Sally ready with her backpack on and here stuff animal head hanging out. The look on her face was determind. 

  I smiled then I explained the plan to her...

_~_~_ 5 Minutes later~_~_~_

   "GET OUT OF THE HOUSE! WE'VE GOT YOU SURROUNDED!" said a police officer.

   I Walked to the back porch to see that there's a gap in the police cars.  I hope my track racing will kick in and that this will work...

  I readied myself, then opened the back door to hear some police men shouting. I then ran for it. I heard gun shots and the whoosh of the bullets. I was 5 yard from the forest before I heard foot steps coming closer to me. Oh god..

   I ran faster trying hard not to stop. 3...2..1..!

  I then ran right into the forest and past the warning sign.

 What are you doing?! Are you crazy?! I heard Jimmy say.

Shut it Jimmy. I thought.

  I grent my teeth as I ran as fast as I can. I heard the whispers of people as the woods grew darker.  Sally whimpered and held on tighter. The Whispers grew louder and louder then stopped before I felt something go through me. It sent shivers down my spin.

  Good god! That dude is Crazy! Jimmy said.

   I just continued to go through the woods It felt like Hours before I bursted through the trees and onto the side walk of the neighbouring city of Venturousia. "We made it!" I said to myself.

   I set sally down. "Who are you?" Sally asked.

  "W-what? Sally, it's me!" She looked confused.

  H-her eyes.. they're not her normal light blue...

  Well of course there not!! Jimmy said with annoyance in his voice.

 What did you do?! I couldn't help but ask.

 ME? You mean the Waffle girl or Fluff or... something... Jimmy said. Anyways, This is what happens to people that can't handle demons inside of them so.. they change to the demons liking... So, Sally will probably forget you and her pass life. I recommend that she starts a new life without you...

  But... I promised...

Yeah, yeah, yeah, look, she's fine! Just go on with out her! That means less people to worry about! 

  I wanted to object but... he was right. I looked at Sally and said "I'm just your-"

 "Dad?" Sally asked.

   Go on....

  "I sure."

  "Yay!" Sally said as she ran up and hugged her 'Dad'.

    I looked at the sky to see that it's 6;00 pm. My tummy rumbled as I thought of food. I then checked my pocket. 50$...? Maybe Jimmy was right.. I shook my head. No! she's safe with me!

   But, what about me? A shiver ran down my spine. He is still right.. I can't trust myself.

  "Sally?" I said while looking down at her.

  "What, Dad?" She asked.

  "Time to go get food!" I said with fake excitement in my voice.

   She smiled and said "Okay!"

   She stood up and followed me into town. I then noticed a 7 eleven.  I looked inside to see a man that I've noticed before..

  "Johnny, This is Papa Acachalla." Said my father.

  I looked at the man. He has a bald head with a bit of a stub of a Beard and around his mouth was a thick black beard with a blue t-shirt and pants... he wasn't fat yet he wasn't skinny. He has  Brown eyes and  black shoes.

 "H-hello" I said shyly.

  He only gazed at me and grunted. I then hid behind my mother. "Oh, silly Johnny! He's not going to hurt you." My mom said with a smile. "Besides he's a Family freind..."

  Hm... " Sally, Here's 10$ go and get a slurppy."

  "Yay!" Sally said with excitment.

     I then ran a block down and hid behind a ally and watched from a far. After 2 mintues she comes out with a red slushy and looks around only to go back in. Papa Acachalla walked out with her and looked around and just shruged and locked up the shop and said something to Sally. Sally egerly nodded and they got into a old car and drove off.

  My heart stopped. Tears began to fall down my face. Suddenly it began to rain.  I wanted to run after her. Scream for her. But, I can't. I'm not safe.... I'm a monster...
