Stephens pov~

Hosuh and I were watching television just bored out of our minds. A sudden pol of the News was on our tv.
"There has been a Mass Suicide in Alaska and In the UK, its happening so much it's almost and epidemic." The TV's words rang out.
A cold chill ran up my spine. I shook it off playing it off.
"Yo, Hosuh. We should go grocery shopping." I turned to him. He looked nervous but agreed eventually. We put our coats on, Hosuh headed out onto the porch first. I on the other hand grabbed two wash cloths for no apparent reason. I stepped onto the porch with Hosuh. I grabbed my keys to my car and locked our house door.
We both got in my car, i put the keys in the ignition and the familiar hum tuned in. I backed into the road being careful with the mailboxes. I zoomed off down the road.
"Stephen, you really need to start going the speed limit, your gonna get pulled over!" Hosuh giggled. I felt my face heat up a bit. His laugh was so cute.
"Ehh, we'll be fiinnee!" I laughed.
"Yeah yeah," Hosuh looked out the side window. He rolled down the window a little bit. The fall air fueled our lungs.
"I love fall, the leaves are so beautiful.. What about you, Stephen?" Hosuh looked back at me. I looked at him for a moment then back to the road.
"I guess i like fall." i said taking in the scenery of the purple, orange, and red leaves floated to the ground.
We finally made it into town after ten minutes or so. I slowly slowed down for a dumb red light.
"Hhh, what if that... Thing on the News makes it down here?" Hosuh asked me. I could tell he was scared of whatever it was. I felt bad for my friend. I would definitely defend him from whatever the fuck was out there. Reached my hand over and held his hand in a..."Friend" way to keep him calm.
"Im sure it won't! If it does then i'll protect you." I confidentiality said to him. The light finally turned green after what felt like forever. I slowly drove towards the nearest supermarket. This town was full of stores and houses. Which is convenient to those people.
I pulled into "24 7 M". I parked a reasonable distance away from the market. We walked in together, Hosuh pulled out a list of things we need. Im guessing he grabbed it before we headed out. I grabbed a shopping basket and we headed towards the frozen food isle.
Hosuh walked over to get chicken. I kinda stood there staring off into space looking at the frozen yogurt and what not. I was brought back to reality when Hosuh set a few things in the basket. We walked over to get milk and we pretty much had everything.
"Is that it?" I asked looking over Hosuhs shoulder.
"Well, unless you want a monster, yes." Hosuh joked with me, I chuckled at our inside joke.
We walked to the checkout area. I set the few things we got on the mat for the worker to scan our things. The employee looked at us funny and looked at our things. He scaned them at a fast rate.
"uhm $10.25 sir." He said with a voice crack. I assumed he was 17 from that interaction. I handed him the money, and Hosuh and I walked out of the store with our bags.
"Did you see the look on his face!?" I bursted out laughing.
"Y-Yeah!" Hosuh giggled covering his mouth while laughing. I never really understood why he did that. I set the bags in the back seat. We hopped in my car buckled up and I teared out of the parking lot with a scretch. Hosuh held onto the safety handle( oh fuck handle ) in a panic. I laughed at this but slowed down to let him breath.
"Im sorry! I couldn't resist!" I laughed. Hosuh gave me a weak laugh still startled by my sudden actions. I stopped at another red light. I groaned knowing this light took longer.
"Stephen, what do you think made all those people do that..?" Hosuh asked me with a shake in his voice. I looked at him then at the light.
"I don't know, I don't know." I answered him now questioning it too. After some time the light turned green. I slowly started but before i made it to the other side of the road I heard a loud crash. My ears rang from a scream and glass shattering.
The car spun over and over until it fell on its side. The left side to be exact. I shook my head dizzily. I unbuckled and fell on glass and asphalt. I looked over to Hosuh. He looked at me slowly.
"S-s-Stephen.....I..I." Hosuh  stoped talking.
"Just.. Unbuckle i'll catch you!" i told him in a raspy voice. I could taste the blood.
He did as I said and feel into my arms. I climbed out of the dash window with Hosuh in my arms. There was blood everywhere and ambulances. I realize that thing on the news got here. People would look up and the next second kill themselves. I stood up in a panic holding Hosuh bridal style.
"Hosuh, close your eyes." i demanded him.
"Wh-why?" Hosuh asked slowly.
"JUST DO IT! Just do it.." i told him again. I looked around for somewhere to go. Hosuh wrapped his arms around my neck and cried on my shoulder. I saw a house let someone in. I bolted over as fast as possible. I ran up their steps as fast as possible. I pounded on their door.
"Please open the door! Please!!" I yelled through the piece of wood. Someone unlocked the door and opened it quickly.
"Hurry up, Get in here!" A man demanded.
I quickly stumbled in. There was a few people in the house. One pregnant woman, one woman and two men, four including Hosuh and I. They all looked frightened, and i don't blame them. The two men tried to call people and the woman was crying. The pregnant woman was pacing back and forth. I walked in another room and set hosuh on a sofa. I searched for the washcloths i coincidentally had. I took one out and whiped the blood off Hosuhs face.
"Ow.." Hosuh squeaked. He look at me with fearful eyes. I exhaled slowly. Fortunately he had no glass in his head.
"God... Im so sorry.." i apologized profusely to Hosuh.
"No, No, Stephen. It's okay! It's not your fault!" Hosuh said removing the blame from me.
I shook my head. I didn't agree with him. It was my fault. If i just had looked or if we stayed home. None of this would of happened.
I took off my coat, it served no purpose, it was all shredded. My arms had cuts on them and a few glass pieces. I exhaled frustrated. Hosuh took his coat off and took the washcloth i had in my pocket. He slowly examined my arm. He took out the glass shards easily because they were poking out of my skin. When he got them all out he whiped my arms gently. Hosuh stood up motioning me to go to where the other people were.
They seemed to not have givin up on calling people. The girl that was crying seemed to have calmed down along with the pregnant woman.
After a while of calling people and frantically pacing we all got a job to do. Well, it was the same job for everyone. We all boarded the windows and taped newspapers to the windows when we ran out of wood. When everything was set we all sat down to figure out what the fuck was going on.
