My head pounds as I walk to the cafeteria with books in my hand. I probably bumped into at least three people today. I search the room for Cleo and I see her on her phone at our table. Silas is no where to be seen.

"Hey." I greet her. I rest my head on her shoulder. I close my eyes.

"Are you okay?" Her high pitched voice echoes through my head.

"Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just tired."

"Do you know why Matt's not here today?" She asks.

"Remember, he had to take his dog to the vet."

"Ohh right. Forgot."

After prayers, I insist on buying lunch for the both of us. After our mini dispute, Cleo gave up and I went in line. While I was looking at the options, my face came in contact with a large figure. I stumble backwards.

"Excuse me." Liam sarcastically says. Him and his two other friends push me aside and hop in line. Without saying anything, I push past them. I do not feel like dealing with him today. Liam grasps my arm tightly, squeezing it like those things that squeeze your arms to check blood pressure. An involuntary squeak escaped my lips. His friend pushes me to the ground. My the back of my head makes contact with the floor. Are you kidding me right now? As I attempt to get up, two strong arms grab me from behind and help me stand to my feet. They push me behind them.

"Are you fucking serious?" Silas's deep voice echoes through the cafeteria. Everything becomes silent. Everyone's eyes turn towards us.

"Back off Siren, whatever your name is. What is she to you?" Liam and his friends snicker. I look at him and I knew that all he saw was red. He clenches his fists and maybe it's just my imagination but I can see smoke coming from his ears and nose. I wouldn't want to be Liam right now. He's pretty brave for standing up against Silas. Silas is like a good five inches taller than him. Before Silas could say anything, two teacher were dragging him and Liam out of the cafeteria by their arms, leaving everyone staring at me. Love that.

"Wooww..thank God Silas was there because I already had my earrings out and on the table." Cleo says as I walk back to the table with our food. She places her earring back on and we eat our food.

"I don't know what just happened." I silently pray that Silas doesn't get in trouble.

"Are you okay though??" She asks worriedly.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Suddenly I lost my appetite.

Later when school is over, I grab my bag and head to my car. I haven't seen Silas or Liam all day. He didn't show up to the rest of his classes. My phone buzzes and I check to see that I have three messages from Cleo.

*Girl, come outside right now!!

*Where are you??

*Silas is beating Liam up in the parking lot!!

My heart sunk to my stomach. I ran as fast as I could to the parking lot. There, I see a huge crowd of people in front of Silas's car. They were jumping, screaming, and yelling, everything you'd expect in a fight. I push and shove everyone until I saw him. Silas, sweaty and enraged, had Liam's collar rolled up in his wrist. His other hand kept making hard contact with my face. Drops of blood flow down the corner of Liam's mouth. It's as if Silas has no idea that everyone is around him. Every punch gets harder as he gains more adrenaline. I couldn't bear to see this anymore.

"SILAS! STOP!" My vision begins to blur. He stopped as soon as he heard me. He looked up at me and all I could see was his face, shocked and full of regret. When his eyes found mine, they softened. I looked down at his knuckles. They were all busted, bloody, and bruised.
