"Here you go, sorry for the wait." Silas arrives at our table and places our food in front of us.
"Do yo need anything else?" He asks us and we shake our heads and with that, he left us to eat.
Our dinner was great as always. It takes us about a half hour to eat and then we head to the fun portion of the theme park.
We spent about two and a half hours enjoying ourselves and feeling like kids again. When our mother brought Eli and I here for the first time, his eyes lit up with amazement.
"It's a surprise...You'll have to wait and see." Mother buckled Eli in his car seat and begins to drive off to somewhere. I wonder what she's going to do for Eli's 4th birthday party. The rest of the drive was quiet. Every time I turn to look at Eli, his smile keeps growing every few minutes.
"Alright, we're here!" Eli and I hopped out of the car as we hold our mother's hand. Dad smiles as he walked behind us. The outside entrance was a gray castle made of stone with a gigantic green dragon smiling.
"Woah! The Friendly Dragon!" Eli screams joyfully and we head inside.
"Did you enjoy your celebration?" I ask as the four of us walk back to the car.
"Yes!" Eli replies as he takes another bite out of his cotton candy.
"Keep up the good work bud." Cleo adds as she sits next to him. Alice takes shotgun and I pull away from the parking lot.
"So... how bout' that waiter?" Alice nudges me and I playfully role my eyes.
"What about the waiter?" I reply.
"Did you think he was cute?" Even though I wasn't facing her, I could still see her wiggling her eyebrows.
"Nope, he's hot. I'm not even going to deny it." I shrug my shoulders.
"But... Alice I forgot to tell you something. He's going to be coming over three times a week starting Monday." I turn my head to look at her and she just nods her head.
"Sounds good, you need to become more social." Instead of questioning why he's coming over, she lectures me about my social status.
"Gee thanks. But that's not why he's coming over. He isn't even my friend." I reply and Cleo and Eli snickers in the back.
"I know it's for school already. You wouldn't be the type of person to invite a boy over unless it's Matt." Alice replies. I sigh and continue driving. Once we get back to the house, we get ready for bed.
The next day, I drop Eli off as usual and head to school. When I get to homeroom, I see Silas tapping his fingers on his desk. I sit in my seat in front of him and I greet Matt.
"Hey." Silas taps my shoulder and turn to face him.
"Hi." I reply and I can feel his nervousness.
"Can I ask you something?" He asks me.
"Sure." I reply.
"Can you please keep my job a secret?" He looks at me with pleading eyes.
"Why?" I tease him a little and raise an eyebrow at him. He shuts his eyes to compose himself and opens them again a few seconds later.
"It's embarrassing." He replies and my mouth opens with disbelief.
"What, do you think it'll ruin your image? There are a lot of teens who have jobs you know." I reply and turn back around.
"I know that, just please.." He replies. How can I say no to him? I turn around and nod my head.
