Marinette's POV

We had arrived at the mall in a few minutes, and I was immediately overwhelmed. The building was huge to say the least. It was probably about 5 floors of shops and kiosks.

Adrien was the first to exit, and even held the door open for me. He obviously sensed my hesitation since he tilted his head to the side.

"C'mon, Marinette," he ushered to me. "It's just the mall."

What he didn't know is that the only time I saw a mall was in a movie. It was years ago and I can barely remember what the movie was even called. I just remember that in the movie a girl was sitting on a railing that was really high up, and she was flirting with these guys. They began to lower her down over the edge jokingly. She didn't think it was very funny, and got saved by the main character's step-brother. To be honest, the memory of the movie itself was blurry, but the beating I got after my parents found out that I was watching TV seemed very fresh.

He looked at me weirdly for another second before something hit him. It was like a light bulb had been lit over his head. He smiled a little.

"Have you ever even been to a mall?!" he asked me.

I was a little embarrassed. I simply shook my head no and looked at the ground. I heard a bit of a chuckle from Adrien.

Adrien smiled, "I don't think I've ever met a girl who hasn't spent at least one day in a mall."

"You have today," I quietly replied.

"Well, I guess this will be your first ever mall experience," he smiled.

"I guess it will be," I smiled back.

I began out of the car, and just stared up at the building in awe. Adrien laughed beside me, and began to pull me into the mall. I didn't even tear my eyes from the building until we got inside. The immediate smell of perfume made me a little dizzy at first, but I got over it easily.

"Alright," Adrien started, "we are going to start at Urban Outfitters, then Abercrombie, then Hollister. . ."

He continued on, but I was too distracted by the scenery to even begin to listen. There were three floors of shops and each floor was connected by an escalator and an elevator. There were so many smells and sights. I knew that it would be a little overwhelming, but this was more than I could take.

"Could you just do the shopping, and I can wait in the car?" I asked even though I already knew what he would say.

He looked at me like I was insane before turning back to the mall.

"You have to pick out the clothes; I can't do that because that would mean it's my style. You have to express yourself, so I can't pick for you. Anyways, most girls think it's super fun to go shopping at the mall," he explained.

I sighed, knowing that that was a really good point. I actually had a pretty good style for a girl who didn't have many clothes. I used to look through many fashion magazines, and got inspiration for some designs of my own. My parents tore up about every single magazine once they found out about my reading.

"So, where are we going first?" I turned and asked Adrien.

He grabbed my hand and began to drag me over to a store. I got a quick glance at the name of the store right before we entered. It was a store called H&M. The music was different from the main walking path of the mall, and this store smelled a little less like perfume and more like cologne.

"If you see anything you like, grab it," Adrien informed me before walking over to the back of the store.

I had no idea what to do. I started to browse, and found myself going to the back of the store where Adrien went. I was caught by many colorful crop tops, oversized hoodies, shoes of all types, and many options of jeans. I was immediately drawn by a pair of jean daisy dukes and a red and white striped crop top. I walked toward them, and Adrien appeared by my side.

"I like those," he said. "I think it would look good."

"Alright, I guess I'll go try these on," I said before going into the changing room.

Adrien's POV

If that were any other girl, I would have told her that I'd go with her, if you know what I mean. But this was Marinette, the girl who I was starting to think about a lot for some reason. And this time around, it wasn't negative things about her. I think seeing her outside of being scared and her knowing that we have something in common—our parents being asses to us—made her more comfortable.

I decided that for all the trouble and hell I've created for her, I could at least give her a shopping spree. These were all of the hottest stores. At least Chloe dragged me to just about all of these stores. And if it wasn't Chloe begging me to come—not during sex but to physically go—it was Lila . The two of them told me that this was their favorite store by far. And with it being the middle of the school day, I knew that we wouldn't see them here.

I spoke too soon because a few seconds later I heard a very familiar cackle. I turned so quick to look at Lila and Chloe that I thought I got whip lash. There they were, the two worst people in the school. And their least favorite person was getting a shopping spree from their favorite person. This was not going to end that well. Chloe finally caught sight of me, and I wished that I could sink into the clothing racks. Unfortunately I couldn't, so I had to deal with her insanely annoying shriek.

"Adrinkins," she yelled, and ran toward me.

She placed a sloppy kiss on both of my cheeks, and I pushed away as fast as I could. Lila came over a second later, and did the same thing Chloe did, but with a wink.

"So, Adrien," Lila said, trying to be seductive, "What brings you here?"

I panicked. I didn't know what to tell them. I couldn't tell them. They'd immediately question my hatred toward Marinette. Not to mention that their hatred toward Marinette would skyrocket. Marinette would become a dead man walking. It seemed that I didn't need to say anything after all since Mari walked out of the changing room a second later. She looked good. She looked damn good. She was skinny enough that the crop top looked good. The shorts hugged her naturally thick thighs. She looked around the store like she was trying to find somebody—me.

Lila and Chloe noticed her a few seconds after me, and their stares were a little different than mine.

"What the fuck is that hoe doing here?" Lila spat.

Chloe and Lila crossed their arms over their plastic chests. They looked pissed until Chloe's face morphed into one of realization. What she realized, I had no idea. I did know that it was probably not what I want.

Chloe smirked at me, "You knew she was coming here, so you came here to meet us because you know we always go here on Friday's instead of school."

Lila nodded and laughed evilly, "This will be the worst beating she has ever had."

And so my reputation, my swag, everything that I worked for remained, I said, "You girls know me so well."
