Marinette's POV
I had my head down as I walked down the hallway. Yesterday's conversation with Adrien was fresh in my mind. I can't believe I told him! I shouldn't have! If Sabine and Tom find out, I'm dead! I am an idiot for even thinking about telling Adrien! No wonder they beat me! Because I'm a stupid, worthless, nothing—
My thoughts were cut off as I was jabbed in the side.
"Well, well, well," a brat said, "look what we have here."
"Huh," the liar began, "the scum of the Earth."
Chloe and Lila looked down at me on the floor. They towered over me in their expensive Louis Vuitton heels. Their outfits consisted of a Gucci shirts and the shortest skirts I've ever seen. Their designer bags weren't too far away, being carried by Sabrina.
I decided to pick myself up, knowing what would come next. People assume Adrien is the only one who uses me as their punching bag. That would be false. Lila and Chloe actually bullied me probably before Adrien even knew I existed. Lila, Chloe, and I were the best of friends at one point in life. But after calling Lila out on a lie and trying to sympathize with Chloe's loss of her mother (A/N: I guess Mrs. Bourgeois is dead in this story), they dropped me. And they didn't just acted like we weren't friends. They acted like we hated each other with a burning passion.
"Lila," Chloe turned to her friend like I wasn't even there.
"Yeah, Chloe?"
"I have been so stressed lately," the drama queen made the sentence seem very long.
"How so?" Lila asked in her bitchy voice.
"Well, yesterday daddy told me I couldn't get the Chanel perfume!" She pouted like a two year old.
I almost expected Chloe to fold her bottom lip over. I pictured her stomping her Louis Vuitton's on the ground and throwing her hands down. I imagined her screaming, "But daddy! I want it now!" I almost giggled at the thought.
"He did not," Lila exclaimed in fake shock.
"He did!" She crossed her arms over her chest.
"Well, my dad told me that we were going to Bermuda this year," Lila stated like it was the worst thing on Earth.
"OMG!" Chloe gasped in horror.
"Yeah, like, I know! I told him I wanted to New York Fashion Week! I don't give, like, two shits about some tropical paradise!" She whined.
First world problems, I thought to myself.
"So," Chloe took an intimidating step toward me, "we need to get rid of our stress."
Code for get my ass beat, I internally said.
"When?" I quietly asked.
Chloe pushed me to the ground. "Why? Got a date?"
Lila and Chloe laughed like it was the funniest thing in the universe. I was afraid they were going to run out of breathe any second and die. But I guess that wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
"Once the bell rings, we'll go to the library," Lila explained further after wiping some tears away after her laugh attack.
It's funny how Lila seems to be more interested in her nails that were freshly painted, than talk to me about when she is going to, essentially, torture me. Sometimes I think Lila just wants to impress a certain somebody. And even a person as stupid as Chloe knows who that somebody is. In fact, that somebody came strolling around the corner. Of course, now Lila seems more infatuated with the somebody.
"Hey, Adrien," Lila said, seductively.
"ADRIKINS!" Chloe shrieks.
See, the two of them have always liked Adrien. Since they laid eyes on him in elementary school, they fell in love. I mean, they aren't wrong to fall for such a handsome dude. The only problem is these girls are desperate as fuck. Chloe a little more than Lila, though. But, and I kid you not, Lila and Chloe would trade their souls to be fucked by him. I mean fucked again. The two of them have never been in a relationship with the famous model, but they have slept with him. Both of them have probably slept with him higher than they can count to. Higher than they can count put together.
All they are, are hoes, I snickered internally.
Adrien looked at the two girls directly in their oh-so lustfull eyes. But Adrien didn't return the look. Instead, he marched toward me in some what of a hurry. He made a quick action that looked like it was directly aimed at me as he approached. On instinct, I flinched. But as my eyes fluttered opened, I looked up. Instead of kicking me or taunting me or making some snide comment, he extended his hand out to me. My jaw unhinged and hits the floor. He stared at me like he was in hurry to get somewhere.
He sarcastically said, "Keep your mouth open any longer and you'll catch flies."
Lila and Chloe were behind Adrien as he said this and as he extended his hand out toward me. Lila, being a tiny bit quicker than Chloe, faked tripping over her shoe and fell right down on her butt next to me.
"Ow," she groaned in fake pain, "Adrien, could you help me up?"
He took a glance at her, but in a second his eyes were back down on me.
"So, are you going to sit there for a year, or take my hand and let me help you up?" He asked.
It's a trap, I thought to myself. There is no way in hell he is being kind to me.
But for some reason, I took his hand. For some reason, he pulled me up. For some reason, he pulled me to the library. For some reason, he went to a specific aisle where I saw Luka.
And for some weird ass reason, he pulled me into a full on makeout session.
Hey, I just edited this chapter because the tense was all off. Half of it was past tense and the other half was present tense.
