The next mission

Penny's POV

I woke up feeling sick so I stayed home today. I went on my Codex for a while and watched videos but whatever I did, it was boring. I refreshed my feed on My Spy Place and there I saw a selfie of me and Talon on his page. We really did look cute together. 

"Hang on, what's this?"

I opened the envelope only to see a lovely hand written letter

Dearest Penny,

Thank you for writing to me, Uncle C gave me a right telling off! So for now I'm happy writing to you until our next mission.

Well I would have wrote back but Kayla decided to invade my privacy. Here came the million questions.

"So now you two are writing letters to each other? Soooo adorable awe. Now girl you tell me everything that happened last night."

"Well we went to dinner, we kissed, he gave me a flower and we slow danced! Happy?"

"Oh my gosh that is so romantic...you KISSED?"

"Umm... kinda... well we got the same piece of spaghetti."

"Its just like lady and the tramp, awe."

"Well that's the rose he gave me, over there."

"Its totally pretty Pen!"

Well Kayla EVENTUALLY left and I was in peace to write my letter and then up came Uncle Gadget...

"Hey Penny."

"What can I do for you Uncle Gadget?"

"Well Chief Quimby has another mission for us."

"Oh... cool."

Wait that meant I could see Talon again. Wow I actually wanted to go on this mission. 

"Okay chief, what's the mission?" Uncle Gadget asked.

"Mad have invaded the explosive warehouse and its up to you guys to prevent the warehouse from blowing up."

"We got this Chief!" Uncle Gadget exclaimed as he threw the message back at Chief Quimby.

We were off on another mission, I was gonna see Talon again, the letter would have to wait.

Talon's POV

Well off on another mission. Why can't Uncle Claw get off his lazy ass and be useful? Guess I'll never know. I hope Penny is coming today. She's the only thing keeping me positive at this moment. But why would Uncle C wanna blow up the warehouse? Oh yeah, probably to kill Gadget. I just hope Penny can get out.

Penny' POV

Why were we taking so long to arrive? Is it so difficult for me to see my crush. I read my love fantasy book for a while. I don't know why but I've always had a soft spot for fantasies. They just seem so... life like. I just wanted to kiss Talon properly. Sure we touched lips once but Uncle Gadget ruined it. Just a quiet moment would be good enough for me.

"Uncle Gadget, what's the hold up?"

"Now now Penny, its very foggy, we must drive with care."

Just my luck. What miserable weather to match a miserable mood. I gazed out of the window in my own world just imaging Talon. I wanna kiss him so badly but things are kinda awkward right now, so I gotta be patient, which is not easy for me.

"Okay Penny, we're here."

"SWEET RELIEF!"

"Well someone's motivated, that's the spirit Penny."

"We should probably split up to cover more ground."

"Good idea Penny!"

"Brain go after Uncle Gadget, I'll go see Tal... I mean go luck for clues!"

Brain was definitely on to me. SHOOT that dog is smart. Well we didn't call him brain for nothing. 

Talon's POV

Why was she taking so long? Oh well I know what she'll say, "fashionably late."

"There you are Pen, where you been?"

"Sorry, we ran a bit late."

"No worries dearest."

I called her dearest. My mind is playing with me. Am I ready to go for the kiss yet. God no. 

"I guess your wondering about the letter huh?"

"No Penny of course not, it was very thoughtful."

Man, Uncle C didn't say exactly when to blow up the building.
