Bad day at school

Penny's POV

So school started as normal but honestly I couldn't concentrate. Kayla told me there was a new kid starting at our school, I hoped it was a girl so I could make another friend. When class began our teacher walked through the door.

"Okay class, we have a new student starting today, I'd like you all to meet Talon."

"Wait what?"

Okay so not what I expected but it was bound to happen. This was gonna be so awkward.

"Talon please take a seat next to..."

Please not me, please not me, please!

"Penny."

"Oh S**t!"

So we gave off nervous glances and he gingerly sat down at our desk. This was so awkward.

Talon's POV

Damn I'm next to Penny. What if we argue again? I'll just have to wait and see.

"Okay class open up your history books to page 123."

"So... hi Penny."

"Hey Talon."

"Look about the other night I really am..."

"Hey, the past is in the past okay?"

Yeah she sounded unconvinced so I went with it. The lesson dragged on forever. The teachers voice was sooo boring, it was like watching paint dry. Finally, lunch.

Penny's POV

So it looked as though Talon ended up making some new friends, some of which were girls! Not that I was jealous or anything... I WASN'T. So it was last lesson and to make matters worse, we had to write about our enemies. 

"So I guess I should write about you Penny!"

"Guess I'll do the same!"

"Yours is going to suck so bad!"

"Not as much as yours."

So we wrote for a while and gave each other the odd glare or two and our writing was complete. We read them out with all our hateful comments, most people sniggered  about me I swear.

Talon's POV

When the bell rang for the end of the day, Penny and I weren't even talking but I played a little prank on her. My friends were at my side eager.

"Think fast Penny!"

"Huh?"

I shoved her into a patch of wet dirt and my friends and I laughed so hard we almost fell over too.

"The look on your face Penny ha ha!"

Penny's POV

That son of a b*tch , I was covered in mud and worst of all, everyone was laughing and staring.

"I HATE YOU TALON!"

I ran home without looking back. I dived onto my bed and flooded into tears. Why do I deserve this? I grabbed a photo of Talon and shredded it to pieces. I hate him so  much! Kayla came up to my room a little while later and she seemed even more shocked than I was.

"Oh no Pen! What happened?"

"Talon, that's what!"

"Come on lets get these clothes washed."

I showered whilst Kayla washed my clothes. I really was thankful to have a BFF like her.

"Remember Pen, sisters before the misters!"

We giggled and I felt a million times better.

Talon's  POV

I screwed up today, BIG TIME.
