I miss you

Penny's POV

Today,Uncle Gadget and I gave baking a try. And it failed. Let me just rephrase his words. "Go go gadget bake a cake!" And out came his roller skates, he went spinning around in circles and smack into the oven. Out flew the cake and landed on Brain's face, okay so maybe I laughed but who wouldn't? So Brain ran around crazily and Uncle Gadget got his "Go go Gadget copter" out, picked up Brain along with him, and off they went outta the window. I was hysterical and uncontrollably laughing. Man if only I'd recorded it and put it on my spy place. It'd get tons of hits. 

"Now Penny, care to explain what your finding so funny?"

"Umm, what happened just duh! Why else would I be laughing?"

"Good point!"

We carried on laughing for a while until we got stitch. Uncle Gadget threw his arms around me and gave me a massive hug. He smelt of burnt cake, but that was okay, we all did, something inside of me just couldn't make me feel happy the slightest bit. Obviously the events of today were the funniest things I've ever seen but still. Oh no, memories of Talon... I'm such a sucker.

Talon's POV

"Come on Kayla, I'm sure you and Penny can work things out."

"No! I'm done with her! After all, I have you Talon."

"What?"

The world just stopped before me. Kayla was basically telling me she l-loved me. 0///0

"Kayla..."

"I-I have liked you for such a long time Talon, but never had the guts to tell you, you know cuz Penny liked you, but who cares for her?"

"Look Kay..."

"I love you Talon..."

Should I even respond. After all, I did ask her out to the prom, but that doesn't mean we're actually dating right? She's pretty though, so it'd be bad not to like her.

"I love you too..."

She pressed her chest against mine and I blushed tomato red. I couldn't resist the sweet smell of her perfume. I engaged in our warm embrace and placed my arms around her waist. She leaned in closer to me and we nuzzled our noses together.

Penny's POV

Uncle Gadget ran out of cake mixture, well we all know why. But, sometimes he can annoy me, like that was gonna be the best cake ever. But whatever, its just a cake. The shop was like a ten minute walk and all I could see were happy couples together. I don't know why I'm even upset, I have Martin now, who treats me how I should be treated. Plus he and Talon barely talk now. Which I'm kinda glad about. Martin just doesn't have the same flare that Talon had. I could hear muffled voices to my right and I though Uncle Gadget's singing was my worst nightmare, but what I could see could never possibly compete. There to my horror, was Talon and Kayla.

Talon's POV

I couldn't help but notice Kayla's eyes gazing into mine. She was so pretty. Much better than Penny... Wait no! I leaned down and pressed my lips against hers. To my surprise she didn't even pull away. She clearly wanted this too. We held hands while sharing our kiss together. I didn't dare open my eyes in case I ruined the moment.

"Your an amazing kisser Kayla."

"No, you are."

Penny's POV

My heart shattered into thousands of small shards. My one true love, my best friend, kissing?

"Talon, maybe you have her and I expect you think the world of her, but know, I still cherish our time together."

With that, I fled to the shop, pulling up my hood so I was unrecognizable. I'd never ran so fast.

Talon's POV

After our true love moment, Kay and I walked to the fair and totally lost our minds on the games and rides. We bought two ice cream cones and enjoyed the sunset. She lay her head on my shoulder and we gazed out over the pier. I'd never felt so happy in all of my life.

"Talon, tonight has been so wonderful."

"But you made it wonderful Kay."

We giggled and continued our evening activities.
