When I heard Alexis stutter the word Peter, my mind switch to protective mode. "I'm on my way" I said. I hung up quickly, and ran straight to the office. I ran into my boss' office, "I don't feel so good" I said, leaning against the doorway, "Can I go to the doctor" I tried to sound like I was about to throw up. "Please, we'll send a sub to your class" my boss said. I sprinted out the door, and to my car.

I felt tears come to my eyes, as I remember what Alexis says about Peter. About how he would force himself onto her, and she pretended that she liked it. Her scar. I choked back my tears, last night after she fell alseep I traced my fingers over the scratches, and ended up crying myself to sleep. I felt her pain, every last bit of it. I couldn't have driven fast enough to her house, my foot glued to the gas. I ran inside to see Alexis curled up on the couch.

"Lexi" I said quietly. She looked over to me, her eyes dripping with tears, bruises all over your face. I ran over to her, and pulled her into my lap. She was shaking, trembling, I held her into my chest. "Shhhh" I said, gently kissing her bruises. I ran my fingers through her long golden locks, and she let out a few sobs. "No matter when, I'm here for you every second of the day" I said, looking into her teary eyes. "Your so beautiful, your perfect" I tucked a piece of hair behind her ear, and gently kissed her lips. "Thank you" she said, collapsing into my chest.

I wrapped my arms around her waist, I felt her wiggle out of my grip. I pulled up her sweater and looked at her stomach, bruised and bleeding. "Did he kick you?" I asked, gently rubbing her stomach. She nodded yes, "He said no one would love me if I looked like this" he said, burrying her face in my shirt, "Before he left, he told me he loved me..." she whispered into my chest. "Well, he can't" I said, rubbing her scar, "Because... because... Because I do" I said, her eyes shot up at me. She was still shaking, and as I said that, she stopped.

Her gaze met mine, as she whispered "I love you too" she smiled through her pain, "I know its way to early in our relationship to feel this way, but I don't want to lose you" she said quietly, snuggling into my chest. "My worst nightmare is to lose you" I smiled to her, "Since the day I saw you, I've had dreams that you would think I'm a player" I kissed her lips sweetly. She smiled up to me, then went back to her spot in my arms. "So are we like a thing now?" she asked, resting her cheek on my forearm. "I was hoping so, if not, this would be quite awkward" I said, as we both laughed.
