Chapter 6: The Note!

"Dane,

Firstly, I'd like to thank you, for everything you have done for me. When we first met, you saved my life, and I must admit; I've always loved you, ever since that one moment I saw you. I've never been able to confess my true feelings to you.

But now that you're leaving, I feel like I've taken for granted every single day we've been together. I tried to tell you I love you.

But the words were hard to find. I'm always thinking about you, you're always on my mind. The next time I get to see you, it's going to be awhile. When I think of how we met, it only brings back your smile. I remember when I held you then and told you we'd never part. I loved you then, I love you now and I'll forever hold you in my heart

Honestly, if I could give you anything in the world I would. That is how much I appreciate you being around and getting to know you for all these years; it could not have been a more wonderful person but yourself.

Please know that you're all that I have ever wanted, you're what keeps my heart racing, you're what keeps me coming back for more.

I was afraid of darkness because I felt that I was left alone so I prayed for help to the distant million stars. Then out of the blue God gave me you to show me what's real. There's more to life than just how I feel. And all that I'm worth is right before my eyes. And all that I live for though I didn't know why. But now I do, because God gave me you.

I wanna say the words and know they're truthful. With all the love around you know I need you. You are a dream I hope will never end. Tell me I won't be alone. That we'll be together for all time, because in your arms, I'm someone new. With every tender kiss from you, I must confess, I've been blessed.

But how can you just walk away from me? When all I can do is watch you leave. Cause we shared the laughter and the pain, and even shared the tears. You're the only one who really knew me at all. I'd give my all to have just one more night with you. I'd risk my life to feel your body next to mine.

You bring a joy to my heart; I've never felt before, with each touch of your hand, I love you more and more. Whenever we say goodbye, whenever we part, know I hold you dearly, deep inside my heart. No matter what you do, no matter what you say, no matter how far you go; I pray you hold true, these seven precious words, forever and always, I will love you.

I placed the note in the envelope, and left it under my pillow to give to her the next day.

That weekend, we met up with Zoe at the station and went to the city. When we reached at H & M store, surprisingly there were not much people there.

While Maddie, Mafe and I tried on different clothes, Zoe, Dane and Dave waited outside the dressing rooms.

"Ok! You guys ready!?" Maddie shouted.

I heard Maddie come out of the dressing room, and then Mafe. As I walked out, fiddling with my dress a little, I looked up and saw Dane staring at me.

"What?" I asked.

She shook her head and replied, "It's nothing. It's just that you look beautiful." I was surprised to hear her say that.

"Thanks, I guess I'll use this for the Ball then," I said.

"Well, since you're done here, you wanna go now?" Dane asked.

"What? Go where?" Zoe wandered.

"Oh, me and Jess kinda have plans," Dane answered.

"Oh, you mean a date!" Maddie responded.

"No, not a date, just um..." I stuttered.

"Nonsense, nonsense, Go ahead. We'll see you at school tomorrow then, take your time!" Maddie said, rushing us.

"Um, yeah. So where do you want to go?" Dane asked.

"What did you have in mind?" I responded.

She paused, and said, "How about the Zoo?"

"Sure, I haven't been there in a long time. The last time I went I was 10," I replied with a smile.

"That is a long time," she said, as we entered the Zoo.

We visited every animal and later went to a theme park. I enjoyed every single second, and cherished it. At the end of the day, we began to walk home together, and she asked, "Did you have fun?" I grabbed her hand, and smiled.

As we reached the front of my house, I remembered to give her the note.

"Oh right. Here, this is for you," I said, handing her the note. She took it from my hands.

"What is it?" she asked. "It's a note. But don't read it until you get on the plane, promise?" I said.

"Ok, promise," she replied.

"Goodnight," she said, hugging me. The feeling of her warm hugs, made me realized how much I was going to miss them. "Goodnight."
