Chapter sixteen
Jason's POV
I stripped off the hospital gown that seemed to have grown on me and threw on a light t-shirt and jeans. I wrapped a brown belt around the hoops on my jeans and left the washroom. Cancer, the word just rattled my brain, I can't think properly now without thinking about Miranda having cancer. Why her, why did she have to endure so much pain, I still don't even think she's happy. But maybe she is. Mom told me that she went on a date with Jeremy. They make a cute couple, their both nice, sweet, loyal, caring, everything that a person should be. I slid my black backpack onto one of my shoulders and began walking towards the elevator. Cancer... I can't stop thinking about it, why couldn't I have gotten it instead, she's younger, she deserves better than having toe go through all that pain that idiot gave her.
I pressed the button with the triangle pointing up, watching it quickly light up. I tapped my foot waiting, I wonder what she looks like, did she start losing her hair, or does she look sick, or does she look fine. The pit of my stomach turned just thinking about Miranda bald. Ding, the elevator opened up.
My eyes widened as my whole body twitched with hatred and angry. Brandon... He was standing in the corner of the elevator, back to the mirror, with his hands folded
being his back. What the hell was he doing here! His eyes opened open, "You," he whispered, moving forward towards me some more. "Ahem, excuse me sir are you going to go or not?" a nurse at the front desk behind me asked, watching me with hawk like eyes. I Cautiously stepped into the elevator, never facing my back to Brandon. "I thought I killed you," He hissed as the elevator doors slid shut. He took me from behind grabbing me by the neck and pulling me into a deadly headlock. "Move and I'll snap your neck," he spit in my ear, dragging me to the corner and spinning around, so that I could see myself in the mirror.
Brandon smiled at me through the mirror, "On second thought, maybe I should snap it," he said slyly, reeling my head back, I gasped and my eyes widened in shock. His a flick of his wrist, he snapped my neck, taking my life along with it. I love you mom, dad, Miranda. And everything was forever black.
Brandon's POV
I let go of the limp corpse, clapping my hands together, now that, that as been dealt with, I get to see my baby girl, a sly smile spread across my face, I get to feel her soft hair again, and see her sweet face again. Ding! The elevator sounded, and the elevator doors opened in front of me. I stuffed my hands into my jean pockets and walked out into the hallway, as if nothing every happen. I walked coolly towards Miranda's room, ignoring the screams and the people rushing past me, ruffling my hair. I sighed, I just fixed it didn't I. oh well, everything will be worth it when I see her. I smiled, knowing I wont have anymore worries... Goodbye Jason.
